Handle is 09 inches long with Steel Rod inside.

Style of Inside Construction of whip: Bullwhip starts with a steel rod for the handle that provides both a solid foundation and weight to balance the whip while a core is an innermost layer inside of the whip. Then consists of two leather braided bellies of 4 strands each and two leather bolsters. The overlay is done in 16 plaits. All the minute details are taken into account to achieve the look and feel of the original whip.

The whip looks great, and fairly well made. The fall is too wide though, so makes for a less pleasing crack. My main complaint is that even after conditioning the leather several times, several strands have already broken after only a few uses. 1 near the handle, 2 or 3 down the thong, and just discovered a new one right at where it ties into the fall, so now that is coming loose. I hope I can find someone to fix it before it all falls apart. But otherwise, after thoroughly conditioning the leather, and cutting/narrowing the fall, it can provide quite a good crack.

BULL WIP 10 FEET 16 STRAND, this is the real folks... steel shank in the grip.. next will upgrade to kangaroo Hyde from the cow hyde.. I can't wait for someone to take a poke at me then wip this out 😉
