Great wheelset for project builds

I mounted tires on these wheels and went for a 20 mile test rid and had two punctures on the rim side. Inspecting the holes in the tubes -- I found that the rim tape had slipped and the tube puntured by the tube blowing into the spoke holes through a gap formed when the rim tape slide to the side. The rim tape is very thin, flexible and stretchy -- making it easy for these gaps to form. The rims themselves seem sturdy. The hubs have a somewhat clunky appearance. I've installed better quality rim tape so now I can see how the wheels work in actual usage.

These wheels have been nothing but disaster. First of all they are not true. Second of all they are slightly smaller then normal wheel size which means it causes a TON of flats. I’ve had 10 flats with these wheels. After 2 months the rear wheel spoke broke and it’s completely unusable. There is not return policy so then you’re screwed.Do not buy these wheels for your own good

Box came damage. My rear wheel is bent, the box didn't bring any support for the wheels not be damage. I tried to true the wheel best I could took it on a ride and spoke blow out. They fill great but because of bent and damage delivery the wheels are not performing to the potential.

I bought this wheelset to bring a 25 year old bike back to life. I was concerned sizes would be off, but I was pleasantly surprised that everything fit and worked perfectly. I also bought a new cassette gear set (8 gear) which fit perfectly as well. I can't say how a 9 or 10 gear would fit as the 8 was the exact size needed.These are very lightweight (definitely compared to what I had). I believe a standard 48mm Presta stem will work perfectly fine, though my inner tubes had 60mm.The quick release is exactly as I was hoping for. I did originally put the parts for the release on incorrectly. Make sure to put the springs small side towards the bike and the curved part of the nut towards the quick release lever.I already had an inner tube blowout while riding (not the fault of these wheels), and they held up against the impact very well without any visible damage.Overall, great purchase, I would definitely recommend.
