  • Because this Cranksets is square hole shaped, you will need a square tapered bottom bracket to go with it.Note that this crank is a 170mm size and the length of the crank is chosen according to personal habits.

  • The chain ring mounting area has two sides. Placing them on either side will move the chain ring about 10mm. Do not use washers between the crank and the ring because there are no chain ring bolts that are long enough.

  • One the crank arm attaches to the chainring and then to the bottom bracket square taper bolt the other crank arm attaches to the bottom bracket square taper bolt on the other side one arm points up the othe points down direct opposite see less.

  • It depends on your application. A new bottom bracket will come with crank bolts. Or if replacing a existing crankset, you would just resuse the old crank bolts.

  • Hello! The package of this product includes a left crank arm, right crank arm and a chainring with 4PC chainring bolt. Does not include bottom bracket or caps. I hope this answer is helpful to you.

I got this is in a black and silver round 40T version.overall I like the style and it was easy to install I also installed a Bucklos square taper bottom bracket at the same time.pedaling is easier and my bike is about one pound lighter due to removing the old 3x chain rings and front derailleur.the one thing I did encounter was the left side crank arm would loosen up, I tried red and blue thread locker on the 8mm bolts it still came loose, I tried the long and short bolts still loosened up and I made sure they were tight but not over tightened due to the aluminum crank arm. I ended up fixing the problem with replacing the 8mm socket bolts with Vanice M8 x18mm crank arm-bottom bracket bolts, these have ridges on the under side of the bolt head to help the bolt grip and I used red thread locker and let it set overnight so far it has not come loose.overall I do like the product. For the record I did not contact Bucklos I figured there was an easy solution and I really didn't want to replace a lot parts I just installed.

Mounted up with a narrow 113mm bottom bracket and still had to mount the chainring to the inside of the crank arm just to get a 52mm chainline(3mm outside of ideal, but still in the acceptable range). The chainring mounting holes are not centered in the crank arm. This just looks bad, especially since I had to mount the chainring to the inside, making the badly positioned holes totally visible. The chainring has an almost hooked shape to the narrow teeth and the chain jumps very badly in the largest 5 gears and the smallest gear, meaning I only have 3 usable gears that the chain won't come off. It doesn't matter which direction I run the chainring, either.I am very disappointed overall. I am going to try a different chainring to see if it works any better. I thought a "Narrow-Wide" chainring was supposed to retain the chain better, not throw it off worse!

For a chainring/crankset combo that had the branding of "SNAIL" on the chainring, I didn't have huge expectations. But I've used the 32t red chainring with the cranks for a year on my townie commuter with a 7-speed rear and it's worked great. Less chain drops than the previous single front chainring which was presumably the stock Electra. The townie stretched frame requires a super long chain, if you have a similar cruiser it worked fine with this setup with a SRAM 7-speed chain. Wear seems normal and the install was simple on square taper bottom bracket.Seriously, the chainring says "SNAIL" right on it, how can you go wrong? The weird branding and the price were what sold me when I was browsing for it.

I've bought a few things from Bucklos to save money and not pay for the brand name. Sorry Shimano. I am impressed with the durability, look, and functionality of all their products. I put these on my gravel bike and have no complaints. The chain ring is holding up to the mileage and the crank arms are too. I am rebuilding another bike and will buy their products to outfit it.

I went with a single drive train for the Gravel Grinder I built and went with this product. It is well made and looks great. After putting about 100 miles on it, it is smooth as silk. Will definitely be using this product again in the near future 💣🙏

While the crank arm/chainring set looks like a nice product I am unable to install it on my bike and see how it preforms and holds up to use as the set arrived without the 36 tooth chainring I picked. Very dissapointed.

a little lighter than the stock crankset on my cheap fat bike. they look nice. would have been nice if they came with crank bolts though. they went on nice and tightened to 40nm no problem. chain ring seems of good quality and fit the chain nice. one thing to note: the BB shaft is a different length on either side(non cartage BB). chain line was way out when i installed it... simply by turning the BB axle the opposite way corrected it. if you have a non cartridge BB it works. obviously if you have a sealed BB(cartridge) this doesn't work.
