The SE V7 sounds as good as the SM58's I've used. I love the look of it also. Does a good job resisting feedback and has little to no handling noise (a good thing!). The 2 included cables were a little over 16' long. I wanted to mention that in my review because it's not in the description or any other review, and it's something I wanted to know when I placed my order. Nice mic package overall...if you figure the 2 XLR cables would cost about $20-25 for both, it brings down the net price of your V7 microphone vs buying it by itself....and you'll have then also have backup XLR cables...with the included velcro ties...on hand for future use.

People are calling this an SM58 killer… but I say it’s a different tool entirely. It’s supercardoid so it’s great for reducing some stage noise in your mic, but that does mean you have to be a little better about mic technique to get the most out of it. Overall an amazing mic for the price. Glad to see SE is making strides in becoming a welcome name in the live sound industry. I also highly recommend the SE7 and SE8 SDC mics.

This mic output cleaner vocal than my Beta 58 and SM 58. Less db than Beta but more than SM58. However I feel more boost on Beta 58 bass which makes a female vocal stronger. V7 suits my need. Winner on appearance with the red pop filter sponge as well

Hands down one of the best live vocal mics that I have used. I have used SM58's for over 30 years, and I now rely on the SE V7 as my primary vocal mic! Excellent quality, solid build, and looks great too! The clarity in this mic (male vocals) is amazing, nice dB boost in all the right places. I will say that the zipper pouch isn't that great, no padding. But that is a minimal concern. My mics are stored in a rack drawer anyway.Great mic - highly impressed.

The sE V7 is such an underrated microphone. While it may be marketed towards stage work, it does fantastic in a home studio. This isn't your average muffled/muddy sounding dynamic microphone. With a frequency response of 40 Hz to 19 kHz, the sE V7 is reaching condenser level response. What does this mean? Not only are you getting a nice pleasing low-end, but an articulate not harsh top-end that's not usually present in dynamic microphones.Great for singing, and fantastic for spoken word if you're podcasting, content creating, etc. The V7 capsule is one of my favorite sounding capsules, and that's saying something considering I own a lot of the greats (SM7B, RE20, PR40). Not to mention for the price of 1 SM7B, you can get FOUR sE V7's. Stupid good value if you need to mic up a few people. If you're in the market for a dynamic microphone that has a pleasing sound, great sound rejection, takes EQ well, just buy this and be done with it. It easily beats any dynamic microphone in its class, and well above.

I've been performing in bars, clubs, and restaurants for over 20 years. I've used several different brands of mics over the years but my primary mics were always an SM-58 or 58 beta. This mic has a clarity that I never got out of a Shure, ever. The weight and feel is good, the sound is great, and it's $100. Only question left is do they last like a Shure. Time will tell, but so far I'm loving it.
