Even after cleaning the surface of my plastic mailbox, I had difficulty with the adhesive sticking well. I added additional double-sided tape to help.

The fit was great, the quality is very sturdy and strong. I have a plastic mailbox and discovered these to stick on to my plastic mailbox to use the magnetic mailbox covers I have and they are easy to put on and the hold up very secure. Highly recommend!

When I opened it, the magnets wouldn't stick to each other. So I took them in the kitchen and tried putting them on the fridge and then the dishwasher, and it wouldn't stick magnetically to either. I thought I was going to have to send them back. I tried one more thing and got my old magnetic mailbox cover, and it DID actually work finally. It may not stick to anything else, but it does stick magnetically to the mailbox cover. I am concerned with the sticky side, I hope it holds up in rainy weather.
