Got these for 1.5-inch pool hose connections. In some connections, they were a 2nd backup to the original connection, and disconnecting the original would have been a hassle. These were easy to fully disconnect (so they could go around the existing connection), and easy to re-connect and tighten. Tightening worked well with both a flat-head screwdriver and a socket wrench.

These start easy when you thread the end into the clamp and they take a lot of torque. Useful in clamping many different things, not just hoses. Definitely better quality than the local auto parts store.
