If you purchase a Ram mount for your Helix 7 that comes with a 2"x 4" mounting plate, you will need this. Fits my Helix 7 G4N perfectly with no additional drilling. Price point is better than Ram's similar product, if you can even find one without paying the X-tra $$ for an entire assembly (base,arm and this mounting plate).
