i bought these reeds for my son, who had some major dpubts about these reeds, hw didnt trust a brand that was almost unheard of. but when he got them, all they needed was a little warm up and theyre playing amazingly, he has been using the same reed since the begining of the year, and he still has 4 left, great money save and amazing quality 5 out of 5 stars.

The reeds worked on my saxophone. There appears to be a bit of warping at the tip after a few hours use. The quality was fair for the price.

These reeds are the worst reeds I have ever used in my 50 plus years of playing. At first I could not get a note out with them. But when I did get sound out it was flat sounding with no quality in the tone. I use a Theo Wanne Gaia 3 #8 mouthpiece. Avoid these reeds and purchase Fiberreed brand. More expensive but play great and last months.

Works well dry but can stick to mouthpiece at times blocking your sound.

I really like these reeds. The sound is very rich and precise. I would sometimes worry about the higher notes coming off a bit squeaky. These reeds play the most beautiful high notes. The highest D through F come out so rich and clear. Love it. If I were to have any complaints, it would be that putting a black reed on a black mouthpiece and having questionable eyesight can be a bit of a challenge. But worth the challenge. I will not use any other reed from this point. The price is also so reasonable. You get five for the price of one of the other leading synthetic reed companies.

As an adult raw beginner got these because I'd worn out my first 1.5 reed - more squeak and rattle than note, Had problems with replacement 1.5s and 2s helped but presented issues. These also had reported longevity (can't comment on that yet) and some write ups suggest they may be more forgiving of a beginner and more consistent. I agree with latter point, played the same after 90 minutes as at 5 minutes, sounds reasonable but slightly different and perfectly fine for beginner's learning etc. (I can't assess if a better tone than reeds or not), the 2 strength does take more work than a 2 reed - needs a tighter emboucure and an adjustment to blowing but it came quite easily and quickly and became almost natural with no squeaks and only the occasional 'breathes' instead of some of the very low notes. So easier to be consistent, less squeaks and breathy low notes which disappear with care, I don't think the tighter emboucure is a bad thing as far as I can gather but a little tiring although I managed a 90 minutes practice session - oh and because it's smooth it is easier on the lips. Why 4 stars - can't assess longevity yet, and needs very careful positioning on the mouthpiece, not easy because it's black on black.

The biggest problem I've had as a beginner is finding a reed that is easy blowing. This reed works great for me. I've tried a few other synthetics (fibracell, Legere, and the Plasticover reeds) but this is definitely my favorite and the price is right! The sound is fine for my inexperienced ears - certainly acceptable for practicing. I also find it to be consisted from low to high notes though I don't play altissimo so can't comment on that. I have to say that not having to fight to get a satisfactory sound is making the playing much more enjoyable. If you are a beginner you may want to give this affordable synthetic a try. I am looking forward to seeing reviews from more experience players. It's a keeper!

I'm pleased with Bravo Reeds. I'm currently using both Bravo Alto Sax and Clarinet reeds on a pit orchestra gig. Synthetic reeds are useful when you don't always have time to wet a cane reed due to rapid instrument changes. I've tried various brands of synthetic reeds (Legere, Firbacell, etc.). I like the Bravo Reeds as well, or better. The sound is a little brighter than Legere and consequently more appropriate for most saxophone situations. The sound is a little brighter than a cane reed on clarinet, but still imminently useable.Bravo Reeds are substantially less expensive than other synthetic reeds and seem to have a good lifespan. I'm not crazy about the black color of the reeds (had to see to adjust in a dark orchestra pit). That is the only downside for me. All in all, quite happy with Bravo Reeds.
