This review is for the Wire Wheel Brush for Drill, High Carbon Steel Wire Wheel Drill Brush Wheel Brush, Metal Wheel Brush for Drill with 1/4" Hex Shank, Skilled in Handling Metal & Nonmetal Surfaces(10 Pack). $14.99These wire wheel brushes did a great job to clean rust off the brake rotors. I’m really surprised at the quality of these wire wheels. It cut through the rust with ease. They were a pleasure to use. If I could change one thing, it is the packaging. They come in a plastic bag and since these are wires, they perforated the plastic bag and punctured the thin Amazon envelope they were mailed in. I’m glad I saw the wires sticking out of the envelope because I could have cut my fingers since the wires are very sharp.

I got these to rough up the inside of some luggage in order to do a fiberglass repair. The location was awkward and sandpaper would just not lead to a uniform grip for the epoxy. To its credit, it did get the job done. These are inexpensive but the quality is also pretty low. Wear gloves even to take them out of the package. There are stray wires and they are sharp! Also eye protection is an absolute must because they do occasionally toss a wire even though drill speeds are much slower than grinder speeds. The set has a reasonable collection of shapes for a variety of uses from rust removal on irregular surfaces to my use.

These little wire brushes are great. Not only are they very durable, the size makes them easy to use in tight areas. The small size also makes the brushes easier to control in delicate locations. Just to clarify, these brushes are great for small and delicate areas. For jobs with larger area, you'll need larger brushes. The brushes are well made and work nicely on the drill. Their durability makes them worth the price.

These did a great job cleaning my rotors of all the rust before installing some spacers. It ate the dust up quickly and efficiently. I didn't have any wires fly off and stab into me. I've had that happen numerous times so I'm surprised these didn't being they are pretty cheaply priced. I was expecting at least one projectile lol. But nope. And I was getting aggressive with them. Cleaning between each rotor stud and everything with absolutely no problems. I was hearing down on them too just to see how they would hold up for you guys. I can say I'm a bit impressed with the quality. They definitely eat through rust. Not sure about cleaning welds , but I'm sure they would do just fine with that as well. I can highly recommend this product.

I have some black outdoor fixtures that need refinishing. They are painted aluminum and I need to strip off some of the old paint. These brass “coated” brushes will work good with my cordless drill or impact driver for the amount of work I have to do.I would not say that these are the best out there but the price is competitive. I did not like some of the stray wires of varying lengths. I was impossible for me to unpack these without getting “wire stabbed” in a finger several times. Note to you… wear gloves.I think of these as a disposable tool where when I’m done with my job I’ll be done with the brush(es) used.Be sure to wear safety glasses. I’ve seen wires break free when spinning and they go flying in random directions.

Average quality steel brushes. I don't know what benefit there is to having copper-plated bristles. Just seems to me that the copper plating will wear off as soon as the brushes are used. I have many sizes and styles of wire brushes. There is really no way to know in advance how successful you will be using any of these brushes to remove rust, scale, paint etc. It all comes down to experimenting and changing up if a wire brush is not giving you the results you want.Product packaging is not good. These brushes need to be packaged in a box rather than a thin plastic bag. They perforated the plastic bag and perforated the envelope that Amazon shipped them in. There were sharp steel bristles sticking out of the package when I received it.

I live in Central Arkansas, extreme humidity, lots of rust. These steel wire cups work great in my drill press. Tough enough to remove the rust without damaging the underlying metal. The reason for my deducting one star is due to the plastic bag that the cups come in. My wife opened the outer package but then stuck herself on some of the wire bristles that had pierced the bag that contained the cups. A heavier bag would have prevented her from hurting her hand. Do beware if your package arrives with outer packaging that does not allow you to see the inner contents.
