this is cheap brittle plastic, not a true rubber backing. it shattered on the first nick.

Pad could not be tightened down enough to keep the abrasives from slipping. Apparently it wasn't designed for Black & Decker side grinder.

I did like the slim nut on the bottom. Really helped to get nice and flat to help keep a smooth surface. The back plate is loosing a lot of its strength though. Starting to bow up pretty bad. Still works but expected it to hold up a little better. Have gone thru maybe 20 disks and has me questioning if its going to hold up or continue to get worse.

Works, but hit an edge wrong and it tore to pieces instantly. Not really manufacturers fault but I've had discs from other companies take a beating before they ripped apart.I guess you really do get what you pay for.

Great backing pad. It is stiffer than the others that I have tried which makes it work really well grinding down welds.
