I would give this entire review a 5 star, but for the fact that this expensive piece of electronic, wireless musical equipment was just in a cardboard box with wrapping paper thrown in. There was no manual included, plus there where old double a batteries left in the unit. Thankfully the unit works exactly as it should, and aside from the box it came in, this thing rocks. Absolute best accessory I’ve gotten yet for my bass playing. I got this used for 40% off and if need be I’d absolutely buy it new.

I play with my church worship group so I don't have to move alot. I just don't like constantly battling with a cable getting under my feet constantly. I hand an XVive before this but it died. This isn't quite as convenient as a "dongle" type wireless but it has the charger built into the receiver. My receiver is powered by my pedalboard PS so its convenient to simply plug the transmitter into the receiver. I haven't ran it all day to see how long the charge lasts but the longest it'll be turned on for me is 3 hours at church or several hours at home.

This wireless guitar system works poorly. Noises and I can't get more than about 15 feet from the base unit without severely affecting sound quality. There is a better solution out there somewhere - this product is not it.

Don't listen to complaints, this is a top product which operates without flaws. I've used it in a home environment for 6 months without any issues, even when operating wireless Yamaha headphones that work on the same frequencies. Top quality product, satisfaction guaranteed. Only issue I had was When I don't have direct line of sight (metal bead frame between transmitter and receiver) when the unit stops for a fraction of a second, but that is expected. Will never go back to my Fender guitar cables.

Good set up - easy to use, been tested at gigs, and does exactly what i need it to - not a bad price either.

I really can't find anything NOT to like with this system. I am a bit of a TONEaholic and I can't tell a signifigant difference between this and med. quality guitar cords. It's very simple to use. It makes NO noise when you either plug into your guitar or take it out. And best of all, NO MORE CORDS to get tangled up - the freedom and sheer lack of aggrevation is intoxicating! And, unless you plan on roaming about a stadium-sized stage, I wouldn't bother spending the extra money on the super long-range one. This one works flawlessly in every corner of my 800 sq. ft. room and beyond..

This transmitter has worked wonderfully for me. Completely quiet when I plug in and disconnect. I had an issue with the unit not charging my transmitter properly. Turns out this was because in order to charge, the base unit needs 320 mA. The circuit that I had this plugged into in my voodoo labs ISO 5 was only delivering 100 mA. When I switched over to a circuit that delivered 400 mA, charging worked fine. You can also charge the transmitter with a USB cable which is convenient. I bought this unit because of the convenience of charging through the 12 V power source in my pedal board, it’s working seamlessly. Roland‘s support was awesome prompt and extremely helpful in sorting the shop.

I was skeptical at first, not with the quality and performance but whether it will mess with my Wifi at home and vice versa. Been using it a lot. So far, no issues. Battery life is also great for three to four hours of playing, holding up great. No sound degradation whatsoever. Only thing, creeps me out that I still move and turn like trying to avoid stepping on a cable that’s simply not there anymore… well, I think I can put up with that little incovenience lol

Hobbyist here looking for convenient at home practice without having to remove my guitar every time I need to step a few more feet away from my amp or get cables tanged in chair legs.First knock, perhaps on me if I didn't read the description well enough - this requires a boss power adapter which is another $30 on top of the cost of this on amazon at the time of this writing and is not included with this. I know guitar pedals don't typically come with power adapters but most work with standard power sources, but that's not the case here.I've had 3 of these units with various issues. The primary issue was that the transmitter would stop charging when it was plugged into the dock, and instead think it was plugged into a guitar, draining the battery instead. This meant that the only way to charge the transmitted was via usb, and I explicitly spent a lot more on this unit vs. others so I wouldn't have to hunt for the end of a charging cable and worry about that. This happened on all three units within 1-3 months of using them, which leads me to believe perhaps I am very unlucky or the official boss power adapter I got is defective and breaking the units somehow. A google search for "wl-50 not charging in dock" will show similar stories to those who have encountered this same issue, including one fellow who tried charging it in a friend's dock, which ended up pairing to his friend's dock and rendering his own dock useless, since it didn't re-pair back to his dock when plugged in there. While I did have it, I did experience some dropouts, but changing as many devices in my household to use 5GHz wifi over 2.4GHz wifi mitigated this for the most part, but it was never flawless, even if I was sitting a foot from the receiver (granted, I have a lot of wifi-enabled devices around, so this might be a me-specific problem). This unit did plug in easily to my fender player strat and epiphone les paul, but did not fit in my ibanez bass.I've returned my units and am trying the Line6 G10s instead. I'm hoping that it doesn't suffer from the charging issue and that the manual wifi channel selection could help me get 100% connectivity. It also comes with the power adapter in the box, and a handy little extender in case the transmitter is too bulky to fit in your guitar. I'll try to write a review on that listing in a few months after I've tested it out a bit better!

It doesn't get any easier than this! It mounts on you pedalboard, and the transmitter seems to fit just about any guitar! I have tried others, and many did not fit on my Strats. I would have to rig-up an extension and try to attach it to my strap. Not this one! It fits all of my guitars and basses. Sound quality is great on any of my axes. Acoustic, passive electric, active electric, all work and sound great! When you are not using it, the transmitter plugs into the base to charge. I haven't had a chance to test distance or battery life, but otherwise this is a great addition to my pedalboard.
