They provide longer life than standard drill bits, thanks to their tip design and black oxide coating. The coating provides less friction and thus less generated heat. The bits have impact-rated shanks. With long flutes for excellent speed, these bits are built for general-purpose applications and work great in wood, plastic and light-gauge metal materials. They are great for general contractors and installers.

Parfait pour moi, facilité d'utilisation avec sa forme et c'est multi matériaux, donc plus besoin de se casser la tête à savoir si c'est le bon type de mèche, et aussi j'aime bien que le format soit identifié sur la base: je mélange toujours tous mes outils, donc plus besoin de se casser la tête de ce côté non plus, on n'a pas à se rappeler qu'elle est la grandeur de la mèche qu'on a laissé traîner.

These have held up very well so far. I've only used them on a feew projects but, compared to another name brand I had replaced with these with, these perform and are durable. Wish I could afford their power tools but, I'll get there. I believe in just about Bosch anything, never been dissatisfied with anything I've borrowed or used that was manufactured by them. More expensive generally speaking, but then, quality IS economy.

This is the bit I used for drilling maple trees. Its the perfect size for my taps and it does a fantastic job. I'm using it the second season and it hasn't missed a beat.

5/64 is great for pilot holes. Replacement hex shank bits in the big box store can be pricey. Thanks to Amazon, I can replace them for a low price. Total length, including shank is roughly 2 inches.
