This is one of the worst sets of tools I've ever seen. You will hurt yourself just holding these. The handles and pins holding these tools together are rough filed and razor sharp. To clarify, I'm not even talking about the cutting face of these tools being sharp, as they should be. They're more on the dull side, with exception of a few. I'm talking about the pin in the middle of the tools that holds it together. They just ran an angle grinder on it or something which leaves an extremely razor sharp edge on the pins, so when you handle them, you can seriously hurt yourself. I can't even use them. This isn't even a case of "you get what you pay for." Trust me, you're getting less. Returning immediately.

It's a nice little kit. The only problem I had with it is that did not include a pair of gin pliers. Everything seems to work well so thank you

Ein schöne Zusammenstellung notwendiger Geräte in einer guten Werkzeugtasche! Die Scheren sind zwar „nur“ Kohlenstoffstahl, dafür aber sehr scharf!Das Ganze zu einem sehr guten Preis!! Voll zufrieden!!

I am very happy with these based on the price. They are useable right out of the box but can be improved with a little sharpening. Make sure to clean and oil after use. Like most other tools, take care of them and they work well.

The tools are good quality. As a beginner myself I had looked at several kits and this one is great. Every thing you need and if taken care of would last a very long time.

First impressions; tools are a little rough to the touch but they do feel sturdy and solid in my hand. I'll update this if I should experience any weakness in the tools. All tools lineup properly and edges of cutting tools are sharp. The carry case has room for additional tools and there are 5 various sized spools of wire that are NOT included in the tool count, so you get 10 tools as described. Some kits out there would call this a 15 piece set, so I appreciate not inflating the item count. So value - I feel that this is a sturdy set for the beginner to intermediate, I think that I would replace some of the tools if I became super invested in Bonsai in the future, maybe the leaf snippers but you would do that anyways, right? I am just starting out in Bonsai and I feel these tools will be more than sufficient for me for quite sometime. Again, yo u will purchase higher end tools as you progress but these tools will always be at the table.

I thought this would be a nice gift for my son who has just started to learn bonsai. The tools were fantastic. Much better quality that I originally figured (because the price was so reasonable). I live in SWFL and have left them in our garden area and they are holding up beautifully! Sharp clean cuts so I don't have any unnecessary stress on the plants. The springs are tight which gives you great control, I use a tiny amount of olive oil about once a month when I clean them up and they are still practically brand new.I put together a few charity auction packages each year and will definitely include these with our next bonsai donation.

This is a very nice kit for the money. Don't spend double. Has all the tools you need for your Bonsai hobby. I've used it for around six months now and don't see any signs of things wearing out. This is a tool kit that will last years if not "forever". It has everything you need, but I did purchase some additional wire as this kit didn't have all that much. Not a big deal as wire is something you will need to purchase on a regular basis anyway.Well worth the money!
