No threads on inside of the barrel. I needed 4 and did not know if they would work. Ordered 1 and it was ok.Ordered 3 more and none of the 3 where threaded!

The valve stem on my Arrowhead 3/4 in. MHT brass hose bibb broke. Maybe I tightened the stem too much. A new Arrowhead would cost @$23 but I found this valve stem on Amazon for $12.99 and decided to give it a try. It arrived in two days undamaged. The stem screwed easily into my current Arrowhead hose bibb. I used the handle and self threading screw from my current bibb. The handle fit exactly and the self threading screw screwed in easily. The biggest problem I encountered was getting the screw out of my current bibb because it was firmly stuck. I used pliars on a Phillips screw driver to gain leverage on the screw head and the screw finally broke free. After reinstallation on the water pipe there were no leaks. Recommend the seller/manufacturer include installation instructions like the above as it would encourage potential buyers.

I got this to fix a leaky arrowhead hose Bibb. It was easy to install after getting the old one off. No leaks!1. Don’t over tighten or you can damage the nylon washer.2. There are no threads in the top, but that is ok. If you can get the handle off of your old Bibb, you will see it has a self tapping screw. This easily threads into brass.3. My old handle broke because it was corroded. So try to get that off first. If you can’t, you either need to buy a whole new Bibb and take the insert out with the handle or buy a new handle too. Which ever is cheaper for you.4. Handles have different size threads. I had to return one before I bought the green arrowhead handle that fits perfectly.

Seems like a quality product but I did not even try to use it. There are no threads in the top spindle part where you would drive in a screw to hold the handle on. The item is of no use. Shipping was quick and easy and the item arrived on time. Spindle is compatible with 16-point handles. However, I cannot use it.
