I’ve been looking for a product like this for the longest time. The packaging is nice and straight forward, I love how the balm is solid and after rubbing it through your fingers, it melts a bit, but not overly liquidly. It’s super easy to apply and my dog doesn’t mind it at all. I can definitely see the results in my dog’s paws after a couple of weeks. I am a fan and I’ll def buy it again!

One dog let me carefully massage this into her paws. The other dog is a rescue (her paws were very dry and cracked) who is fearful of new things, so I was lucky to slather some of this onto the bottom of each paw. I did this after bath time before bed. In the morning I checked results and both of their paws looked so healthy and there was no more visible dryness or cracking.Overall, this balm is extremely effective and don't stress too much about perfectly even application. Best results will be when the balm is applied after a bath to remove debris and then trap in moisture. The smell is a little like popcorn, but more natural. Organic popcorn? I don't know. The smell lasts 24-48h and is not very strong. Also, I think the balm is just plant oils and such. There should be no issues if your dogs licks at it.

My dogs paw pads have scratchy edges that feel sharp sometimes as she rubs them on you. I thought this would soften them up and help the sharpness, but after a few uses I haven’t noticed a difference yet. I applied a generous amount and massaged it in at bedtime. You have to dig your finger in it, as it’s kinda thick. The smell is fine, not bad or strong, but what I would expect from the ingredients. Dog doesn’t mind it, no reactions, and she didn’t want to lick it all off either as some other reviewers have said. She did lick some that I got in her hair, and no stomach issues (vomiting or diarrhea). I’ll continue to use it and update review if I notice a change, but as of now I won’t buy it again for what I’m looking for it to do.

No odour. Easy to apply. It is a little sticky and stays on the paw pad. I put it on at bedtime as it is likely to leave paw prints on the floor. My little dog licks it a little but, then doesn't bother with it. It is also USDA rated so no problems if he ingests a little. Great product.

I bought this product which arrived delayed. However i didn't find this as good product for what it costs. Smell is very weird and bad. Product is very tough to rub on my dog’s paw. I would not recommend this product to purchase after my experience

I bought this for my pup who licks and chews on his paws out of anxiety. We are working on correcting the behavior, and it has calmed quite a bit, but unfortunately he still does it. It leaves his paws (not the pads) bright red and inflamed. I had been using a different brand before this one, and comparing the two as far as efficiency goes, they both work like a charm. The Bodhi Dog brand is VERY thick like a pomade, whereas my last brand was more like an oilier thick Vaseline type consistency. The difference for me is the smell. The other one I used had a scent comparable to that of Carmex for human lip care, whereas this one from Bodhi Dog has (to me) an unpleasant smell. I'm going to be completely frank here, as an ex smoker, all I can smell when I use this stuff is like a water ashtray. Like stale cigarette ashes or something. Idk. It probably sounds insane to people reading this, but I can not think of anything else to compare it to.I bought the 4oz jar, so it will last us quite some time. I am going to put a small amount into a smaller container and add some essential oils to it in hopes of making the scent more bearable for myself. It doesn't avert my dog one bit though. He still tries licking it off of himself so I suppose it tastes nice?! Lol I'm not willing to go THAT far to confirm though. The overall review however is based on how well the product performs, and that it DOES. After like 4-5 applications his paws are already looking less irritated. I'm hoping he will just stop chewing on himself but after 3 years of dealing with and addressing his anxiety, I highly doubt it.The loss of one star for me is obviously because of my aversion to the scent.

This stuff is great! Its a balm so it comes as a solid but melts easily upon rubbing your fingers together. A little goes a long way and the ingredients are all natural US "certified" organic emollients that i find also help and feel great on my dry elbows and safe to use on myself. No toxic chemical crap not even perfume. About the smell complaint...it has a natural earthy smell as are the ingredients(i used to own a similar smelling balm that was marketed for problem skin like eczema.) Fyi, delicious smells come from perfume so if thats what youre looking for this is not for you. Also, the fact that your dog doesn't like the smell means nothing, they dont have the same smell preference as you. My dog loves the smell of bad breath in the morning! Lol...when i let my dog smell it, she tried to lick it. You can put socks on while it absorbs to keep from licking but yes if a dog licks/eats it they can get diarrhea because its not food, they are oils! Your dog will get sick from eating almost anything thats not food and that includes any balm or cream. And of course, just like people, a dog could be sensitive or have an allergic reaction to any of the 6 ingredients that may be unique to your dog, it shouldnt deter you from trying it chances are youll be fine and they offer free returns. Many of the negative reviews i find on here are people who are just clueless or tools.
