Only 3 starts because it was not a direct fit. Had to trim some of the rubber from the mounting stud to allow it to seat flush to the motor. Have not used it yet but will update as we progress. Good Price and installation was easy. The metal is good quality.

They did not provide a screw and old one wouldn’t fit. So was a challenge fiinding one to get a tight fit!

I was looking for a replacement for my leaky fuel fitting on my 1991 Johnson outboard. I had searched around the internet and found replacements that seemed quite expensive. When I found this one, it said it was a direct replacement and was reasonably priced. I didn't have my original part handy to compare with the picture (boat was 170 mi north at the family cottage) so I just trusted that it would fit. Well when I tried to install it, it didn't. The first problem was the threads for the mounting bolt are not the same as the original (the new part has metric threads, fortunately I had a bolt in my supplies that fit but it is not stainless like the OEM). The second problem was the mounting point does not fit into the spot for the fitting. That fault was remedied with a coarse file to shape it so it resembles the original. The part body is made of hard plastic and was reshaped fairly easily. The barb on the new fitting is also shorter than OEM so a little creative use of a tie wrap was used to make the fuel line connection. So wile this part was not a direct replacement, it was much more economical than an original part and it did what I needed it to do, stop the fuel leak.
