These are great pencils for writing on the back of photos to identify the subject. The color does not smudge and even by pressing lightly, you can still read whatever you write. They are very reasonably priced. We bought a pack of them so that we could pass them out to all relatives when they are identifying people in the picture.

I have been looking for these pencils for years! Was using a nub of my original pencil that I'd purchased back in about 1997! They are perfect for writing on the backs of photos … don't bleed through, even years later!

I love these pencils! I can write on surfaces that are difficult if not impossible for a regular pencil or pen to write on.

This product is a solid choice for writing information on the back of photos. It is lasting and it does not bleed through onto the front of the photo.
