There was a dent on the outside rim and there was an area where the silver plating was blemished. I only kept it because it seemed like more trouble than it was worth to return it and the inside of the mouthpiece was OK for my seventh-grader.

We had a hard time getting a 5c mouthpiece for our Besson Cornet in a reasonable period of time due to the music company strikes. This mouthpiece was delivered quickly and fit perfectly.
