I was hoping to find some sort of tempered glass protective for this giant screen in the Subarus . Found this one . It did come slightly chipped on the side but it was minuscule, But nothing too noticeable. Pressing the bubbles out was fairly easy . It’s a good product and worth a go . I have heard these protectors separate in the summer weather so only time will tell . The touch screen works flawlessly on the other hand .

Okay so I'm taking the time to make this review so I hope you're hearing me on this. I accidentally stumbled upon the fact that these screens even have a screensaver. It was only $11 so I go what the heck and I got it. The previous owner left smudges that I couldn't get off so I got the new screen saver and after I got the oil changed I installed it. The kit included a cleaner and the smudges came off. The only difficult thing was getting the bubbles out and I used a credit card to do that and they then came out easily. Well I kid you not less than an hour and a half after I did that my client with a disability had an episode in the car. Totally unprovoked and out of the blue. Thank goodness I pulled over the car when I did otherwise he could have very easily grabbed the wheel as we were driving on the highway. Anyway he took that cup that's in the picture that big metal cup and with the bottom end of it he smashed the screen saver. You'll see in the picture that it's only on the right side the passenger side. Well after I left the hospital at about midnight I went to a gas station and crossed my fingers and toes and removed the screensaver. Absolutely perfect condition underneath. When I got the estimate from the dealership on the other damages they said it would have cost around $2,500 to 2,800 to fix that screen alone had I not put that screensaver on it when I did. The visor and the vent that he smashed are only going to be around $600 but that screensaver saved me almost $3,000. You may be loading wood or something like that with the seats down and accidently smash the glass so for $11 what can you lose huh? I bought another one and it's on there as we speak! I hope this helps. By the way you can't even tell it's on there it's so pretty. Now I'm not worried when my husband gets off work and has oil on his hands if he touches the screen. All I have to do is clean the screensaver off! What a fabulous idea! Thank you thank you thank you!

The protector appears to be of high quality, and the fitment was custom. There are three circles cut for two rotary dials and the hazards button, all of which were cut larger than the controls, and correctly oriented and spaced. (Hint : use the three cutouts as your index, NOT the corners.)The size of the protector is a little undersized, and it is quite obvious that there is a screen protector on top of the stock display........but that's because there is a screen protector on the stock display.Comparing the glare of my flashlight on the stock display vs the protector, I can see the protector does offer some amount of matte finish, which helps reduce the intensity of glare (from say the sun, overcast sky, headlights coming in the side of a vehicle, ect.)I was concerned about the application process, but if you follow the instructions on the back of the box, you should do fine. Here's some additional insights before applying the protector :-Use a dry microfiber cloth to SLOWLY wipe any dust off the screen-Use a paper towel and rubbing alcohol to SLOWLY AND SOFTLY wipe down the surface, allowing it to, over time (2 minutes?) break up any contaminants on the screen. Start going around in four inch circles, and then go top/bottom, finishing going left-right. (The human eyes focus on up-down scratches easier than left-right)-Begin the instructions on the back of the box.-When applying the protector, use any cut outs as your index. Point your finger through these holes, line up the tips of your fingers with the controls, and slowly lower the protector down toward the screen (but don't start sticking it yet)-Keeping the other corners off the screen, start at the top left corner and allow about the size of a postage stamp to stick. Confirm the angle and position of the protector, and sticking about 1 inch arcs at a time, slowly (maybe over the span of two minutes) lower small portions of the protector down, and press any air bubbles out as you go, instead of letting them collect up.-Once fully applied, thumb out any remaining air pockets. Once done, use the same dry microfiber cloth and clean the surface.Attached are pictures, installed, in a Subaru Outback 2020, 10.5" display. Note how the protector covers maybe 80% of the display, and how noticeable the raised edges are. Also see pictures of glare from a 600 lumen flashlight, and how the display color and fidelity are not affected by the additional layer of...glass? Plastic?
