When I received the product cap was loose packaging was wet and sprayer was broken.Not good!

The directions say if it is really bad you may need a second application. Where the hull was just dirty, a single application did a great job. I remove my boat from the water when I am not there. In my case where the calcium buildup occurred over a little more than 40 days in my freshwater lake, the second application wasn’t even noticeable. I am sure it did something, but this product is not acidic enough to remove significant buildup-not as effective as Limeaway. To be fair, I have been using Zing and it sometimes requires 3 or 4 applications and requires much more care and protection to use.

I love this product. I usually only use it once or twice a year. I typically whipe down the bottom off my boat and hull after each use but with rain and things there is always some build up. This stuff takes it right off. The best time to use this is at the hottest time of day, temp really does help. You also have to commit to doing the whole thing pretty much in one go otherwise it can be splotchy because the effectiveness is so dependent on temperature. Also MAKE SURE YOU WEAR SAFETY EQUIPMENT, gloves, eye protection, and a mask because this stuff is noxious. I find putting it on with a rag works best and the removing with a separate cloth. Also do not leave the straw and spray nozzle in all of the time or they stop working (I think it's because the acid eats through the softer plastic).
