It wasn't for our boat, sizing was off. I'm sure it would work for some. Quality was okay. It will do the job if it fits your boat.

Purchased the kit and the shade is not in the box... We waited almost a month to install it and now we can't return it.. check your package immediately!!!

Fits our boat perfect and simple to instal. Wished it came in other colors so we could match our dark blue. But black was close enough.

I guess the top is made of such a thin and flimsy material in order to make it fit in the zippered storage position. However, once deployed it flaps around like a kite in the wind. It would be nice to offer a material upgrade to something thicker and more robust...like Sunbrella or the same material used in the power bimini top...which is what I though from tje advertising pictures. It catches a light breeze and flaps around so loosely. The Lippert video shows mounting the poles in a nearly vertical position. I'm glad they send two sets of anchor lock plates. I will install the 2nd pair about 6'8" rearward of where I've already drilled the 1st ones, in an attempt to gain more tension on the poles with the strap angle. As said...very heavy duty metal parts...paper thin shade cloth. I might even consider having a canvas fabricator use this one as a template to make a heavier one. Otherwise it's nearly useless in a light to moderate breeze...at anchor. They say you can run up to 14 MPH with it deployed...DON'T TRY IT. I haven't and will not. I've always been very impressed with Lippert quality and customer service with several RV's and other boats I have owned. I don't think much "field testing" was performed on this extension. In theory it "works". In reality...its a failure in quality and application.

This works really good on my 20' Suntracker Pontoon boat. Probably will not work on the 18' because on the 20' it just fits to the very end and is almost too long. Would work perfectly on the 22' pontoon. It was a great addition for our very hot and sunny Southern Idaho weather.

Easy to install. cheaper more convenient than a second bimini.
