I have a 2002 FXDWG that had the vacuum valve fuel petcock. I used Sea Foam gas treatment and the rubber seals gave out on the original petcock. This one was a perfect replacement. I used a small bolt to plug the vacuum line. It took some fiddling to install the new petcock. The secret is that the nut part needs to be just barely screwed onto the petcock. Just a turn or two will do it. When attaching the nut to the gas tank, the nut tightens to both the petcock and gas tank (the threads are reversed on one end). I just made sure the filter insert was lined up with the recesses in the petcock.I sanded the bottom of the filter insert so that it was perfectly flat. This way it made a good seal to the O-ring in the petcock. The other molding flashing can be left in place. They help hold the filter insert in place when installing the petcock. One thing I noticed, the pipe sticking into the gas tank is not as long as on my original petcock. With the original petcock, when I ran out of gas I had about 1 to 1-1/2 gallons left in the tank before having to switch to reserve. After installing the new petcock, I was able to start my bike after putting in a bit more than a quart of gas. That means I have about 10 mile range after switching to reserve.I really like this new petcock. My bike starts immediately and runs better than before. With the vacuum valve petcock, I had to crank the engine to build up enough vacuum to get gas flowing. And I think the original petcock the restricted gas flow too much.

Petcock works great on my 2002 Fatboy, fit like it was suppose to, ez to install, no leaks, plugged off the vacume line and runs great now. Good simple petcock well worth the money I paid. I'll update if it fails in the future.

The Bikers Choice Late Style Petcock was easy to install as long as you install it hand tight and then snug it up with a 25mm wrench. it works great! I am very happy with the purchase.

Replaced old leaking petcock in Harley dyna , I liked the oem look but nicer until I turned the valve on and gas poured out worse than old one, probably been on shelf to long and O- ring dried out!

The stock vacuum style on my Harley gave up and this was ordered. Works perfectly. Have to remember to turn the fuel off everytime which is what the stock Harley vacuum valve did automatically but this got me on the road and was an easy install.

Got me out of a jam when I needed a 90* left petcock asap for a Harley. Definitely and very clearly cheap aftermarket of which I don't expect it to last too long. But, it is metal and has been serving its purpose for a few months now with no issues or leaks.Side note, the On/Off/Res valve turned VERY hard when I first got it, to the point it felt like it was going to break. I sprayed some penetrating oil directly in the left exit tube and turned it on/off about a dozen times and it loosened it up real well.
