I installed these in place of the OEM shifter on my 1x9 FRAMED MTB. The upgrade is nice. I find shifting easier but probably not much different than it was originally. I have put over 2000 miles on this bike commuting and harsh weather has done some stuff.I love Shimano gear. These shifters are marked Shimano CUES
