The quality of the instrument is excellent. This is the second time I have purchased, as I lost the first. My only request would be a chart online, as the paper chart can be lost.

Works fine for larger bike wheels. A little too large to use on ebike wheels with hub motors. Good build quality.

Great design. Perfect for measuring tension of bike spokes. Very helpful instructions (large print, easy to follow). Comprehensive chart. Device included to identify diameter of spokes (for cross-chechecking on the chart).

This meter really helps to true a wheel in a more timely and efficient manner. It also helps to evenly distribute the tension in a more balanced way when you measure the spokes throughout the non-drive side (rear wheel) first and then true the drive side spokes. Please know that if you don’t engage the spoke properly, the reading is way off. So make sure not to fret. Squeeze your spikes to feel if they’re really loose if you’re getting a low reading. Line up the spoke in the meter along the dotted line so that it’s only hitting the two metal cylinders and not the spacers below them, and then measure the tension. Be patient if you are getting low readings and do your best to engage it properly to get the correct reading. If you really want to learn the dark art of truing a wheel, this meter will really help.

I have a hard tail mountain bike which I ride in town, and there are potholes and cracks in the street or something I have to drop from curbs and with no rear suspension, I have blown out spokes about 3 times now. And per advice on youtube once 2-3 spokes go, it's best to replace *all* the spokes. And wow have these come in handy. Almost perfect tuning after re-spoking a tire. All three times. Amazing actually. I don't look at the chart because I just go with 20lbs torque because I couldn't find manufacturer info on my Wally world Genesis Mountain bike and I also checked the torque? on a new bike from the factory and they come in between 15-22 lbs. I think they use pounds to measure.

I used this for my own bicycle. Worked great. Easy to use and consistent. This is one-third the cost of Park Tool version. I would recommend Park Tool if you are running a bike shop dealing with many bicycles, but this one to deal with a few personal bicycles. This is most likely not shop-grade and may loose accuracy after repetitive day-after-another use.Update after using this on 3 bicycles: Still works well. There is some warping in the handle and the corner has grinded due to rubbing. I still recommend this but will not last if you keep using it repetitively in the long run. Consider Park Tool version for long term usage.

This tool is a copy of the blue TM-1.Its user manual literally has the same conversion table (except the blue logo) and the exact same images. Therefore, you can use the online Wheel Tension App of the TM-1 company as is.The tool feels sturdy and gives repeatable measures.I have yet to compare its readings to a real TM-1 however, to check if it's correctly calibrated.

just two minor things, one, it's a little bigger then I expected, I have E-bike and the motor is in the rear wheel. found it very difficult to use it because of the shortness of the spokes. Secondly, I found out the tension by using it on another spoke. it was 32, in the paper chart either I am not understanding it, but couldn't find/or figure out what is the correct tension. Owell, I bought it just in case, because I have a lot of cyclist friends, it now became a nice tool other can borrow. the Coles note version, good product if you know what you are doing.

Since this was my first spoke tension meter, I have nothing to compare it too. But it does seem accurate and is very easy to use. My only complaint is that it has a little "sticktion" when settling into the tension reading, but that could probably be addressed with a bit of light lubricant. The sticktion is more pronounced at high values, but for the values typically used for road bike wheels, it's minimal. One final thought. I used to think tension meters were only necessary for building wheels, but I learned the hard way that if you true your own wheels, you better have one. Trying to rely just on the pitch of a plucked spoke may keep a wheel in true for a while, but eventually the uneven spoke tension you can't discern solely through spoke pitch will ruin a perfectly good rim.
