Excellent...once you play them 4 a few hours breakin...design is compact with piano black. Magnets a heavy. But I would still use cross over...you want clean sound and not muddy sound. Subwoofer should do all the work. 60 hz center..I have 6.5 already and they sound just as good. 8 inch give that punch to music i use both at the same time 6.5 in facing the ceiling. Just as good as SVS. Tweeter is very dynamic...almost to Kef level...I got KEF as my two stereo speakers. 12 yrs old and still sound brand new on 60 hz...never add bass to speakers unless they have a built in crossover old school. 15 in to 12 in with a tweeter old school set up. Also use curve EQ on every speaker never play out of tune on pre sets EQ

This speaker was a great deal for the. money. I tried both the Klipsch 504c and BIC speaker. I was really torn. The Klipsch has a better low end but it's muddy. The voice is garbilly and very hard to hear. The BIC speaker matches my BIC Tower speakers. This center channel is very loud and very clear. The two are the same loudness. The Klipsch is a much better speaker as a full range speaker, but as a center channel it was horrible for my needs, but for my purposes the BIC speaker is much clearer and easier to understand. For me that makes its a better speaker. Just listen to the speakers and make the best decision possible for your needs !

Super clear crispy sound with hearable bass, for the price I would strongly recommend this center speaker. It has 8’ inch woofer so for the dialogue as a center speaker it was perfect.

I got this speaker in two days after I ordered, it was packaged just right, double boxed. The PL-28II center speaker, I'm using the FH-65B for front left and right because I don't have room for tower speakers and PL-66 for surround. My set up is powered by my TX-NR 818 and I have plenty of power to drive everything.I just ran audyssey x32 speaker configuration,Audyssey set the fronts FH-65B speakers at 40Hz my center PL-28II is set at 90Hz , surrounds PL-66 are at 120Hz and wides DV62si at 70Hz highs are Micca in wall speakers that are high above front left and right are almost to the ceiling. They are at 40Hz and the back speakers in the ceiling behind me set at 120Hz and of cource the subs are 120Hz .Going to leave it like this for a week or so and then run audessy x32 again and see what it settles to after a so called break in.The speaker sounds great.I have my TX-NR 818 in listening Mode DTS Neo:X I go back and forth between that and Audyssey DSX. I've been reading about reference level they say to listen at 0db but it much too loud -15 seems to be more or should I say loud enough.UpdateTX-NRI just moved the speakers around I moved the FH-65s to the wides the PL-66s to front mains and using the DV62si as surrounds and of course the PL-28II AS THE CENTER. The PL-66s match beautifully with the PL-28II and the from three speakers are very amazing, and the sound is incredibly great. My Speaker configuration came in after running audyssey front 100Hz center 90Hz surround 70Hz wide 40Hz high 40Hz surround back 120Hz. So there you have it I'm going to give this a try for a week and run audyssey once again and see what I come up with after a good break in.....

Wow, I had the FH6-LCR, it was good, but given the Front L/R speakers which are the Acoustech PL-89II's they seemed a bit shallow. This guy really matches well with the PL-89II's, it's like just one sound wall. This is a good center, compared to the Klipsch RC-62 II, well, it's a good deal, and it is better,Adding this new center channel made an entirely new and impressive sound stage. For movies and music this really creates an impressive sound stage, one rivaled by speakers costing a speaker set costing much more. BIC makes a good product for a really good price. Here's irony a year later I sold the Klipsch and bought another pair of PL-89 II's and a PL28II to replace the Klipsch stuff.

I am running FH6-LCR's as L and Right, and Bic venturi as wide's (the bookshelf ones), and the smaller 3" driver Venturi as rears......back to this center...When I first unplugged the FH6 center and plugged this in I wasnt inpressed, it wasnt better, then I re-ran Auddsey calibration on my Onkyno 809 and BAM!!It is "throaty" and full of volume and thickness. The mid-bass is great and it is so efficient my receiver had to set it at -9.5db (versus +1) on the FH6. I adjusted it to -3.0 and its just what I want to hear. When someone said "sounds like the people are in the room with you" that is true, you can hear people breathing, clicking, everything. It sounds like this speaker has its own amplifier but do not confuse that with loudness or sound pressure. What it really sounds like is when you take a good microphone and plug it into a PA amp and talk, that's what it sounds like right in your face. Will update once I watch planet of the Apes this weekend and Lord of the rings 2. Only watched 1h of Underworld last night. Very impressive. Very. Makes you "want" to even listen to the dialog "down time" scenes of movies when there are not explosions or gun fire. The big difference between this and other Bic but non-Acoustech speakers is this sounds great with music also.I have installed 6 of the BIC 8" inwall speakers (Acoustech, L,R, surrround and 2 in his bar for 2 chan audio) in my uncle's basement and love the bass and sound. Terminator salvation blew the grill off the front, which prompt me to finally pull the trigger on this center. My theater area is about 40' wide by 20' from projection screen to sofa. Also this would sound great mounted on the wall behind a screen about 3' off the ground. My screen is 106" but not the kind that lets audio pass thru'***Note Its impossible to screw these terminals with your fingers so I used 2 banana plugs to connect the speaker wire**Because this speaker has the highest sensitivity in my set up at about 96-98db its best if you are going to manually do any adjusting to do it just under refrence level (ref. level is when the volume reads "0" on absolute recievers or 82 on onkyno recievers when its set to count from 1-100). For instance it is nice and full at 63 but at 72 it overpowers my entire system, wont even think about 82 (ref level) with this beast. I dont want to but I know I'm going to end up getting a pair of PL-89's to go with this and probably moving my bed into the basement and living in my theater room. haha.
