To immediately adjust to the mouthpiece, takes longer time, not a good clamp. Overprice as well.

This ligature is beautiful especially in the rose gold, but unfortunately did not work well. First off, it is very large and didn't fit well on my mouthpieces. I have Vandoren 5RV lyre and BD mouthpieces. My other ligs are Rovners and Vandoren Optimum and M/O.The BG LD9 ligature was very fidgety and difficult to place on the mouthpieces. The ligature seems asymmetrical and overly springy. No matter how loose I made the screw, I had to use some force to push the LD9 down onto the reed and mouthpiece, often causing the reed to shift on the table and require repositioning. And positioning the reed is difficult because of how large the ligature is--it covers the entire lower vamp of the reed.Tightening the screw was lengthy compared to my other ligatures, and never felt sure. After being tightened, the ligature would slip around despite its rubber pads and would even squeeze itself upward 2-3 mm toward the tip while I was playing. The nail in the coffin for me was that it made my clarinet sound stuffy and difficult to blow, despite the different reeds and placements I tried. Returned.
