I started playing soprano saxophone about 10 months ago. I have a Yamaha 475II. It came with a 4C mouthpiece and I later switched to the 5C and found it somewhat better. Not a big difference in sound. I just received the BetterSax Soprano Burnin 5* mouthpiece. I'm blown away by the difference in the sound. Until now I had no idea what a difference a mouthpiece could make. After my first practice session I also realized how much easier it was to play, and articulate. I think just the excellent sound made me play better. I'm really excited about this new mouthpiece. Way to go Jay Metcalf and Jody Jazz.
