If you need warm there is no warmer! This jacket is great, I live in Minnesota and when it's 0f outside it don't even phase me! I bought the icecap bibs also which are also amazing quality and warm. These are better then my Carhartt ones by a long shot! I'm 5 foot 10 in and 145lb and large jacket with medium bibs were absolutely perfect fit for me.

Excellent jacket! Berne Icecap.Fantastic quality and warmth for the reasonable price. This jacket is as warm in sub-zero temperatures as my Woolrich Arctic Down Parka that retails for $900.5 stars! The Berne Icecap is very well designed with the purpose of quality, warmth, comfort and affordability. Good job, Berne! I don't wear this jacket in spring or autumn..too warm! This is an exceptional jacket for very frigid, windy weather! Cold air doesn't penetrate. Lofty insulation. With a couple of sensible layers underneath this jacket can be worn in -40 ° F temperatures. I have done so here in Chicago. All points close in tight to protect you..the hood, the rib knit cuffs and the rib knit at the bottom of the jacket (which rests well below the belt line) all keep the wind and cold out. The hood cinches up cleverly and nicely all around the entire face including the forehead leaving only the eyes, nose and chin exposed. The hood cord is thick and quality. Great warm hood. The two front pockets are insulated and cozy. The sturdy brass metal Talon zipper has a thick nylon wind flap underneath that blocks cold air from entering. The 1000 denier nylon exterior is one of the most durable, long-wearing, wind resistant materials on the market. It washes clean like a dream and doesn't fade or pill over time. Machine wash only in cold water and HANG IT TO DRY. Don't put this type of nylon in the dryer as the label states. Dryers are the enemy to nylon. Lint in a dryer is nothing more than broken fabric, If hung to dry overnight after machine washing, 1000 denier nylon will last for many years and still look new, I’m impressed with this Berne Icecap jacket and I highly recommend it.

I take a size large in all jackets but this one is way too short for me. Requested a refund but you have to pay your own shipping which makes it not worth returning. Going to try and sell locally.
