I used this for front landing gears on my model planes. It works great for this purpose. The strength is more than sufficient for this purpose and is far superior to the wires that come with most front retracts.

I ordered the 8 lb. line but was sent 12 lb. You ever try to fish for crappie with 12 lb. line? Anyway, I kept the 12 lb- guess I can use it on another pole. Not worth the hassle of returning- I'll just go to the local bait shop next time.
