New to cross fit and I have been struggling with work on the bar. These have been a game changer. They are comfortable, have held up to multiple uses a week and haven’t started to smell. All a win for me!

Had this product for a couple weeks to perform CrossFit maneuvers with and I’m honestly impressed with these grips. I bought the black 3 hole grips and they held up very well when I was working on bar movements such as butterfly pull ups and toe to bars. They’re definitely useful when working with a curl bar or performing one arm snatches. Your hands don’t get torn up as much. Combine the grips with chalk in case you have sweaty palms or the bars you’re working with are wet, the grips work great. In a personal opinion, I wouldn’t use these for deadlifts, cleans, and thrusters as my hands tend to hold up pretty well with just some chalk for heavy weights. I noticed when performing those movements the grips bunch up between my palms and fingers when I pick the weight up, which are a bit bothersome but I did go for large grips with my hand measuring at 4.25” since i was trying to account for the “dowel” effect which worked out great. I will admit the finger holes were a bit tight at first and pulling my own weight had the leather cut into my fingers a bit, but after breaking them in for about an hours worth of use on 4 separate days in a week, they weren’t bothering me anymore. Great grips, fantastic for bar movements and would highly recommend these for bar warriors.

I bought these because I tore my hands up doing toes-to-bar during the CrossFit Open 18.1 workout. A fellow gym member recommended the 3-finger grips because they offer great coverage. I wore them the first time for a Cindy workout (20 minutes of pullups, pushups and air squats). The grips did a great job protecting my still-healing hands. They were also flexible enough that they didn't interfere with my pushups.I plan to wear these grips for any workouts involving the pullup bar or rings. They provide great coverage and they provide good friction against the bar to maintain grip.I was hesitant to order these because I'm generally not a fan of needing a lot of workout accessories. But now I'm convinced these are essential for CrossFitters who don't want to destroy their hands doing pullups or other gymnastic movements.

I purchased these last fall (November 2016). I had previously used traditional 2-hole grips from another vendor, and I wanted to get ones that better covered the palms of my hands when on a pull-up bar or handling kettlebells and barbells. Our gym uses a Maverick rig and Rogue equipment. Although the fit was adequate, the leather never seemed to "break in" as they said it would after a few uses. I continued to try them, both with chalk and without on various pieces of equipment, hoping that they would get better with use. As it turns out, they only got worse with time. They have never been better than my older generic 2-hole grips. I have also had several athletes from our gym try them to be sure that it wasn't user error, including the owner/head coach. Everybody that has tried them agreed with me, that they didn't function as expected. I first reached out to the company directly, but the response I received was that I had waited too long to contact them. If I had reached out sooner, they would have exchanged them. Regardless, I'm not sure an exchange would have improved things, unless I had just happened to get a bad copy of the product originally. Serves me right for giving a product the benefit of the doubt and continuing to use for the hope of true "break in". I strongly recommend not purchasing this product or from this company. There are plenty of other vendors that not only have comparable products but gladly stand by them in unique circumstances like this, especially at this price point.

This is the 5th pair of WOD grips I have tried. I have returned 3 other pairs in the last month because they have ripped after a couple of uses. These have held up well after 5 or 6 uses. The material and construction seems to be a lot better than any of the others I have tried as well. They are comfortable and give me a good grip. I would recommend these to anyone, but especially to bigger folks. I weigh 220 lbs and exert a lot of force on my grips. Pay a few extra bucks and get a quality product. Also, the sizing guide is accurate. I was in-between sizes and went with the smaller size per the recommendation of the sizing guide. They were a little tight at first, but they have stretched out and been broken in now and fit perfectly.

Great construction, great materials. I've been looking for a solution for pull-ups and other rig work that I can make work on other movements as well or at least transition quickly. They feel great on the bar, the leather is super soft and pliable, the holes are big enough that they are easy to get off and on but not so big that they allow the grip to move too much. I have skinny wrists, so I wear wraps under the velcro strap, which keeps them perfectly in place. As noted above, I think that the 3 hole grip by Bear KompleX is a pretty great product, but it is taking some time for me to get used to them. The grips are still too new and are breaking in so there is some discomfort in getting on and off the bar, and the leather around the holes digs in between my fingers a little bit, which I'm sure over time the leather will tamp down and I won't even feel it. I admit that any issue with these grips is not with the grips themselves; it's directly related to me as an individual and my hands' unique sensitivity. I went with the 3 hole option and it may have been better for me to go with the 2 hole grip instead. Depending on how these wear in, I may try the 2 hole version next. Thanks, Bear KompleX!
