Firstly, we reviewed tutorials on how to properly hang a hammock, then purchased the straps to hook this up. Although a bit long for us, they're perfect & super easy to use. https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B082KCC994/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1We've hung in our garden & the colour khaki/green is super for blending in w/plants & trees. We love it!

I bought this for my sister because I got the same one for myself a few months ago and I am just really happy with it. It doesn’t feel cheap and the material holds up. It’s comfortable to lay in and also comfortable holds 2 people. I love how easily it packs up as well. I will recommend spending the extra money on the straps- what a life changer, makes setting up wicked fast and easy!

DUDE. If your reading these reviews, considering buying a BearButt hammock, JUST DO IT ALREADY!! I had originally purchased this for my daughter for Easter, a long with the Kodiak straps from BearButt and let me tell you about the first and only problem we have with this hammock: we fight over it constantly. Sure we lay in it together, but we LOVE laying in it by ourselves and literally have to set timers to take turns being solo in the hammock. Lol.I'm a th-thicc chic and the first time I sat on this, was the slowest I've ever sat down on anything in my life, while holding my breath, hoping all the junk in my trunk wouldn't let me down should gravity be against me, which it was not. ;) I now sit in this hammock without a single worry at all. My daughter and I both lay in this comfortably and confidently. My 2 dobermans want in too, but that's just not going to happen because dog nails and each are over 100lbs. Lol.Definitely get the Kodiak straps! I haven't even tried the ropes that it originally comes with, so I can't comment on those. However, the straps are soooo easy to use, and I can set the hammock up pretty much anywhere in less than 3 minutes. They're just super convenient and worth the extra purchase. Both the Kodiak straps and the hammock each have their own stuff sacks, and it's really easy to get them both back into their own pouches for easy storage and travel. I plan on buying at least 2 more of these hammocks for our family, as well as purchasing for Christmas gifts. You seriously can not beat this deal. They're so incredibly durable, strong, light weight, bright colors, and with the Kodiak straps, have easy set up and tear down.We are team BearButt for life! Thank you for making these awesome hammocks!

I bought this hammock as an upgrade to my older eagle hammock... And to be the base layer of my new hammock camping system.. I am very happy about my purchase and my decision to go with a "lesser known" company than some of the other parachute hammock companies...The size of the hammock is wonderful.. Nice and roomy.. I'm 6'1 and was able to lay any way I wanted and was pretty comfy... In fact I've slept many hours in this hammock in the past 4 days..The quality is very good all the seams are solid and strong the straps that anchor to the D hook are "continuous loops" which allow you a couple options for hanging the hammock. When I hung the hammock up in my yard and layed in it for several hours a day and slept overnight in it 2 nights over the past 4 days which have been continously raining days.. with a rain fly covering the hammock.. It did not get wet the ends where it hangs at the rope stayed dry and no pooling inside the hammock at my feet or head...When I opened up the Hammock for the first time there were only a few long hanging threads that I easily took care of and cleaned up... And the D hooks are a bit heavy so I switched those out with some lighter ones I have (for backpaking) but if that's not a concern then its not a bad thing at all. This Hammock held up amazingly over the 4 day rain ridden "test" I put it thru to make sure it would hold up good on my backpacking trips... I highly recommend this hammock to the people I know and will most likely buy another one from them.

Bear Butt Double Parachute Camping Hammock: UPDATE:This week marks one full year of sleeping in my Bear Butt Hammock every night, in lieu of a bed. (Technically next week, but I didn't want to forget) I just re-read what I wrote last year and there is nothing I want to change or add except possibly this little anecdote. Next month I will be spending a couple of weeks in NYC. I just bought another hammock stand to take with me to use in place of the hotel beds. By having a second stand, I don't have to dismantle this one, plus it will be shipped up in advance. I Love my Bear Butt so much, I don't want to do without it. Plus, wouldn't you take your bed with you if you could? :-D Thanks Bear Butt!!By the way, I did see some questions about getting a stand on a couple of Bear Butt pages and this is the one I use, available on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B015ZK6VA2/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 . (Zupapa Hammock Stand Fit for 12-15ft. Hammock, 2 Person Heavy Duty 550 LBS Capacity with 2 Steel Chains 1 Carry Bag) I use Bear Butt Straps instead of the chains that come with the stand because they don't make noise and they are just fantastic straps! Soft and Strong! Go Bear Butt Go!!Below is the original review, intact from one year ago:I cannot say enough about how much I love my Bear Butt hammock(s). It is exhausting to see all of the options you have on Amazon and of course everyone claims to be the best. I bought Bear Butt because of their size and load rating. I'm a pretty big guy, (6'4", over 200) so if it doesn't say specifically that it is big, I won't bother. Often enough even when they do say big, it doesn't mean big to me. But Bear Butt delivers! The hammock is 10' long and very spacious. I bought a standalone frame and I sleep in it every night in my apartment. It is super comfortable and the material is luxurious. I now have three Bear Butt hammocks! I keep one in the Jeep - you just never know. I use one every night in my apartment and I bought a backup for that one. The inside one is the All American which is beautiful - Stars and Stripes. I just had the feeling that would be limited edition, and if anything ever happened to it,... well, let's not think about that. The outside one is blue and grey.Recently I bought a second kind of hammock stand so I could hang when I travel for work. I intended to use it in hotel rooms etc. It was made by another manufacturer with a solid reputation (ENO), but it was too small for the Bear Butt. So I bought one of theirs. They were both ENO, who, by the reviews seems like they might be kings of the hill. I could not have been less impressed. The stand was of good quality, but too small. The hammock was horrible. It was small (9'-3" according to their literature), and though it claimed to be a double nest, there was no way I was getting someone else in it. It was a coarser fabric than the Bear Butt and it generated static electricity like you wouldn't believe!! Not the case with my Bear Butt.I now have three Bear Butt hammies, two sets of Kodiak Straps which are incredible, a BB Bug net, two rain flies and one plastic, solar powered dancing Bear Butt bear. I wish they would make an under quilt to fit their hammies, but we'll see. I would Highly Recommend Bear Butt products and I don't impress that easily. Go Bear Butt!By the way, don't let the low price fool you. Once in a great while you actually get great quality at a low price. This is one of those times. Inexpensive. NOT Cheap.Hang Safe
