I bought this for my GoPro 8 and it looked identical to the original. It seemed to work fine but after 23 seconds in the water (at a depth of less then 3’) water got in and destroyed my GoPro. It’s ok if you are using it anywhere but the water.

Bought this when my original GoPro battery door was compromised and didn’t want to risk damaging the interior components with seawater. My GoPro battery was safe and dry during two weeks of water park and ocean activity in Hawaii. Very happy with it.
