Installed easily and modernized the bathroom quickly! Haven’t tried the defogger yet, but I love the light.

Many review about this are somewhat mixed in a postive sense. I am not disppointed. I cut off the plu and wired it inside my bathroom wall above my sink. I just finished a remodel of my bathroom and wanted a vanity with a built in light and defogger, this was so easy. A friend of mine is an electrician and he told me what to do saying just make sure your power is off to the bathroom, I turned it off and connected the 3 wires which you'll find when you cut off the pulg and put in the metal box in the wall with access behind the mirror. The defogger shuts off within 8 to 10 minutes once it detects that steam is no longer filling the bathroom and the tought light has different ambience's for a soft comfy effect or very bright, your choice. Like I said, I am not dissappointed. The only thing I was worried about is when I purchased it I knew I wasn't going to installed it for more than 6 monts prior to buying it so I was nervouse about it not working before installing, so did a test before cutting the plug and it lived up to what is advertized. I highly recommend this.

Installed vertically in downstairs bathroom. We like the touch feature to turn it on. Has nice, modern look and modern features.

Love it.... Easy install and looks great. Quality built and sturdy and has some weight to it. Hanging the mirror is like hanging a picture on the wall...not rocket science. Now we come to powering the mirror. Some have taken the attached cord with plug and simply plugged it into the bathroom outlet for a quick and easy install. I wanted something cleaner and more of a professional installation. I decided to put a GFI outlet behind the mirror and plug it into that. I took the power lead from the overhead bath fixture to power the GFI....that's ok, however, there is a small flaw with that plan. When you enter the bathroom you simply turn on the lights and the mirror naturally comes on. Also adjust the mirror any way you wish and viola you are set.Except.....if you just want the mirror on you can't do that the way I have it wired, because the wall switch controls both the overhead light "and" the mirror power source... So if you want to be really precise and have an independent mirror with it's own switch, you would have to run a separate line to the GFI instead of tapping off the current bathroom fixture.....something I may change in the future. It's not a big deal the way things are now and I am quite satisfied the way everything works....it's just a matter of personal choice about the separate switch. Although I understand there is a way to install a remote control switch and outlet, without running a separate power line....that I will have to check out and report back later.... For now, this is a great mirror, the heating pad on the back does a fine job in keeping the mirror fog free.... It does power off automatically after one hour. The mood or mode switches work as advertised choosing the color combo's you like. I use what I call the "hotel default" mode....which is what it is out of the box...lol..... The lighting on the mirror is bright, and was super surprised to see how bright it was. I will keep my overhead lighting now, just in case I put in a separate wall switch for the mirror at a later date. This mirror really adds class to this bathroom, makes the room more up to date and modern and clean. The thickness of the mirror (glass) itself it quite thick, better then some others that I have seen. The price on this mirror was unbeatable. Of course like anything else...shop... Cheaper is not always better....so spend a few more pennies and buy this mirror, this is a no brainer. The mirror will give you the reflection of perfection and the backlight adds that certain element of elegance and class to any bathroom. Guests will be impressed....Now the flip side of these generous comments....the actual "true size" of the mirror of 40 x 32 is more 39.5 x 31.5...and comes packaged in Styrofoam front back and sides. Has wooden corner blocks in the packaging to prevent damage. My package looked liked it had been in a small battle and the corner of the box and side had been punctured and broken. I was scared to open it and find a damaged mirror. Well, five stars to the packaging and crating department, the mirror suffered no damage and was perfect. End result...I'm a happy camper.Trust this review will help someone make a decision on this product, which is available in various sizes. I found that selecting a mirror slightly smaller than the vanity length (mine being 48") I selected a 40". Makes the room actually look bigger and more impressive....again, it's personal choice, however from a design standpoint, it's a better choice.... So go and make yourselves happy and enjoy a new upgrade of elegance and class to adding one of these wonderful mirrors to your bathroom....you deserve it

I bought this mirror because I thought I'd use the light more, but I don't use it at all as my bathroom is plenty bright. But the light works great and it's easy to adjust brightness. As for the heater, it works fine but the mirror is small enough so it's easier for me to use a blow dryer on it for a few seconds.
