I gave the two stools I purchased a four rating because the factory department that drills the holes for the black outer ring is lacking QUALITY control. As someone who has been in an industry that holds your feet to the fire over quality, I recognize a process issue. Two of the four holes drilled where splintered on the inside. That means they were drilled from the outside in. Perhaps the drilling was totally automated but quality control should have caught the poor quality.Because the stools were not expensive it would have been a real hassle to pack them up and ship them back. Guess I expected something was going to wrong with them. So, I will live with the splintering. Going to find some matching stain and try to make them look better.I must say, the stools are very comfortable and I like the style. The factory packaging went beyond my expectations and the delivery was one time.

We purchased the cream leather version. It is very comfortable and everyone loves these stools. I have received compliments from everyone that sees them. They arrived in perfect condition and were easy to assemble. My 5 and 8 year old helped me put them together. They are very easy to clean and are very hardy as they've held up against my 3 kids. I like that they have a black footrest instead of the silver chrome that a lot of others have. The black makes it appear more high end. My cousin liked them so much that she ordered similar items for her house.

Very nice design, but very regular finishes, the leg of one chair is scratched and in another the paint was not well finished. I think they should be a little more careful when packing the products and improve the finish
