I get a lot of old furnace blowers and make shop fans. This is good when you want to select the speed on psc motors easily.

Great 5 way switch. Works exactly as the description suggests. Working fine so far and will update review in a few months.Used to rewire an old blower fan in my backhoe. The wiring diagram can be funny to look at if you are unfamiliar. The diagram does make sense. Best method in general when you are unsure is to pull out the old multimeter. Just check continuity between the poles in the various switch positions. All wires disconnected in position 01 and 2 are connected in position 13 and 4 are connected in position 25 and 6 are connected in position 37 and 8 are connected in position 4 In my setup I only used one input power connected to pole 1 and then used a jumper wire to go from 1 to 3, 3 to 5, 5 to 7.Then I connected the output poles to the various fan speed wires from my blower fan. Pole 2 for speed 1, pole 4 for speed 2, pole 6 for speed 3 and finally pole 8 for speed 4.Hope this info helps!

I bought this switch for a HVAC blower motor we kept when we upgraded our home’s HVAC system. I made a great multi-speed blower for our garage abs this switch was a perfect choice. Good instructions, and sturdy.

Used this switch to control a 4 speed furnace blower I use for venting my shop. The switch works perfectly. I can highly recommend it for this application. You’ll have to refer back to the photo in the add for the schematic as none is provided with the switch!

I ordered one and after scoping out, ordered another. Five position to control a four speed blower motor. I’ve read reviews. Common complaint is no wiring diagram. Mine had a small slip of paper denoting the four positions with the contact ID numbers. Easy. That’s all that’s needed. Contact positions also shown in the ad photos. Excellent price point.

I used this for my 3 speed stove hood fan. But my engineer brother had to come and figure out the wiring. But once done. It's a solid switch.

It’s a pretty decent switch, but it didn’t come with a wiring diagram. I had to ohm out every switch and write it down.Other than that it was just what I needed and worked great. I wired it up to an old 4sp 1hp blower motor from a furnace.

There are no instructions with this switch, so I had to use my multi-meter to figure it out, but that wasn't a big deal. I installed the switch on an old furnace blower which I hung from the ceiling in my shop. It works exactly like a multi-position switch should. The detents are very firm, so you are able to easily tell if you are changing the speed by one or more levels.

This switch replaced the 30 year old German model on my Grand Banks. The new switch was less than 10% of the cost of a new exact replacement model. Yes, the instructions are in Chinese (a drawback) but if you can't chech which leads connect in which position, maybe you shouldn't be installing this yourself. It took about 10 minutes to figure it out. The faceplate was an exact fit replacment for my old switch, so even that was perfect. It has a nice feel to it and has worked a couple of months with no problems. I'm expecting good long term results. I was using the switch to connect three battery voltage inputs to one output to a meter. I did have to add a jumper to get the exact functionality I needed for the 3 to 1, but it was easy enough to figure out. For the price, buy one and figure it out!

I am overall impressed with the quality of this switch! The plastic housing appears to be of glass impregnated nylon and the terminals and control knob are both good and beefy. I bought this to use for a solar battery charger switch, to alternate my solar cell between four batteries and it works as I expected!Other reviewers have complained that the "instructions" were printed in Chinese and they had to figure out this or poke around with that ...and my favorite, "...guess I'll have to figure it out by trial & error..." that's a good old fashioned smoke tester who wrote that.To kinda of half-way comment on their ignorance and defent the excellent quality switch, I must say that I am relatively certain that the paper insert with Chinese writing on it, WAS NOT the instructions. I'd venture to say it was the manufacturers quality statement or the Chinese equivalent to a California Prop-65 warning. In my 35 years as an electronics technician, I have never came across "instructions" for switches that were written out...in English, Chinese, Swahili or any other language.Electricity & Electronics share a universal symbol based language called schematics and diagrams that use symbols to indicate the switch connections. Granted, this switch did not have a pin-out/function diagram or schematic included in the box but let's be honest with ourselves...Go to any big box home improvement store and pick out any DPDT toggle switch, 3-speed fan switch, rotating light switch...and there ain't no "instructions in those either!....If you need step by step instructions to wire up a switch, whether it be 2 pole, 3 pole or 8 pole, PLEASE, seek the help of a qualified electrician, if you can't ring out the connections with a DMM/VOM and figure out where to terminate the wires so the switch will do what you want it to do, please be careful playing around with electricity and switches....it's pretty easy to let the smoke out of the wires if you hook something up wrong!
