Sadly, my battery eliminator was faulty out of the box. The solder joints were not solid/ dry and the positive wire had broken off. Its an easy fix, but disappointing.How to fix:1. Gently separate the battery shell halves at the clip end with a thin sharp knife (not the battery terminal end).2. Take a photo of the inside so you can put it back together the same way.3. Re-solder the wires to the correct pads on the circuit board; you should be able to see where they came off. Mine was negative (black) to the outside with positive (red) on the next pad beside it.4. Once re-soldered, use some electrical tape or hot glue to hold cables in place internally. Don’t hot glue the circuit board.5. Using a multi-meter, check the terminal polarity with an existing battery to confirm they are the right way round before you snap the shells back together.Why didn't I send it back? I'm Australia and it came from the US. It was easier and quicker to just fix it myself.Would I buy this item again. Yes with the above caveat. Once repaired it works as it should and delivers around 8 volts to to the radio.Cheers

Works fine. Only thing I wish was different, is that the power cord was about 12" longer, in the relaxed state. Yes, the curly-q cord does extend as it is. But is bit stiffer then I would like. Maybe I might like a straight section about 12" , then, the curly part as it is. But, thats nit-picking I suppose. AS it does work/power the radio just fine.
