These are 8 inch across. I thought they would be too small for an adult foot (I'm a women's 7.5 for reference). Actually they were plenty big enough. You put them on the floor, side by side, and stand on them in parallel. Then turn both feet out. It's a great way to feel your turnout muscles! When you demi plie, you will turnout a little more. Then you can try and maintain that turnout as you straighten up your legs. I will use this with my adult ballet students.

Product may improve turnout if you are still young;keep what little turnout you still have if you are old.

I really needed something to practice my turnout and these boards are perfect for it! It also comes with a cute bag so you can take it to your class, etc.

I have quite small feet for an adult I am a 36 European size and these are a bit small I wish they were maybe 2-3” wider. They seem to crack a bit because my feet go over the edges however they are affective for turnout and turns. The most valuable thing to me about this product is actually only it’s ability to help the feeling of spinning with partnering- use this at the barre and do an outside turn to improve on pas de deux pirouettes and fuettes

These are WONDERFUL, and while not as large in diameter, nor (probably) do they have as high a weight limit, they are otherwise perfect!, and at a fraction of the cost! Background: I took ballet as a child (sooo long ago) and I stopped taking ballet at age 8. At age 59 (last fall) I had a total hip replacement on one hip. Following the surgery I was in a wheelchair for 8 weeks, then on restricted motion for 3 more weeks. There was *no* physical therapy (by design, my surgeon said "I don't want some physical therapist screwing up my work! Once you're cleared for full activity, just use it!") and so I decided to do a lot of dancing - especially ballet - to strengthen that hip.Once my surgeon cleared me for full activity (November, 2017, for those keeping score at home), the very next day I enrolled in a ballet school with an adult program; I took my first class that same day. It's now been 10 months since I started doing ballet, and last weekend I took my first pointe class! (Toe shoes.) Take that, fake hip!The one thing that has been the hardest with my hip (well, aside from the pain in that femur, which is normal - after all, they lop off the top of your femur and drive a big metal stake down into your femur - and lasts for about a year) has been strengthening it enough so that it holds a turnout on that side. These discs are *awesome* for that! That may be more than you wanted to know, but I wanted to give you the background so you would know that these discs can really make a difference!
