人気の 7C を使いこなしている人が、より高音域へと拡張したい場合に、CからD,Eへとマウスピースを試してみることは、非常に理にかなっていることと思います。

I use this mouthpiece for my X1A cornet. What a tone out of this horn. All I can say is: 'I Love It'.

Buy this only if this is exactly what you are looking for (because your teacher recommended, you tried it somewhere and really liked it and works really well for you, etc.).It's made superb Bach quality as expected, but, I ended up returning it. It didn't work out for me at all. Notes above G (top of staff) wouldn't come out at all for me. I am not faulting the product at all, I believe it's not a fit for my embouchure. The rim was nice, wider and more comfortable (compared to my 7C). However, My lips were hitting the beginning of the throat of this mp, and it was choking the sound. I just couldn't adjust anything to get any sound out above that range.I have been playing on a Bach 7C for more than 3 years. I just started to hit high C in my high range arpeggio practice on the 7C. But, I needed to be more solid up in that range for some of the songs in the orchestra I play in. I thought this would really help, but it made things worse for me.I wanted to keep it to see if I can get used to it, but I found that it was messing my embouchure so bad that I couldn't even play with the 7C after playing with this. That would make my playing challenging and unpredictable in a performance situation. So, I saw no reason to keep it. I need something that will help me with the higher range and be a smoother transition from the 7C. Well, at least, I know what doesn't work for me. I will keep looking, preferably get professional assistance. And, undoubtedly, I need to keep practicing as well ;)I wouldn't be surprised if this is the perfect mp for someone else. However, if you are 7Cer like me, you may very well face what I faced. Better ask your teacher or get professional assistance to see if this the right mp for you.

Don't expect to be immediately blasting out triple g's. Understand me when I say that this mouthpiece is HARD to play. It took me a lot of hard practice and time to be able to use it correctly. Other than that it is fine for a good range, doesn't have a great low range. Overall, just build up your chops if you want to get higher.

If you have been playing on a 7c this is an easy transition. I playMellophone needed a mouthpiece that would work better with my braces, and this one helped alot. although, it increases confort and range,it has bad tone, and reduces your volume. It has has a empty sound, rather than a deep robust sound you would get from a mellophonemouthpiece.

First and foremost I'm declaring this the best mouthpiece I've ever played. Out of the 5 mouthpieces I have this is by far the best. It increased my range from just being able to hit a D above the staff to a double F + no problem. However, this is not a beginner's mouthpiece, it has taken 4 weeks of good solid practice to be able to play well on this because it is so shallow. It was a challenge at first to hit middle range notes but after a good two months on this I can easily play any octave no problem. The 4 weeks it took me to adapt was personal circumstance, I had oral surgery and could not play for a good 3 weeks, so my lips weren't synced to a certain mouthpiece so I was able to melt into this one quicker than if I had just switched spur of the moment. If your looking to play higher in band and show off and become one of the top players DO NOT BUY THIS MOUTHPIECE WITH THE EXPECTATIONS OF BEING ABLE TO PLAY LIKE THAT RIGHT AWAY, wait till off season or the summer to transition into this, or just practice for 10-15 min a day with it and switch over when you feel confident with it. Oh that 10-15 min bit, thats how long your chops will last when you first start playing this if not shorter. Overall, this is a INCREDIBLE mouthpiece and a good investment. And a little bit more advice, get it from (wwbw, thats abbreviated) I've gotten everything there and until this purchase over amazon I drove an hour and a half just to go to their store, they have great sales and I got my trumpet there for like $500 off, and they are great about returns so if your buying anything musical but it from them, thats just personal preference, (if you cant find wwbw on amazon, google wwbw and you'll find there website, I dont want to advertise their whole name or I'll be accused of advertising for them)So all in all, a great mouthpiece for playing really high, for a good price from a good store.
