This hand shape patting pillow is cute. The outer cover is machine washable, and can be separated from the insert after undoing the zipper. The electrical part that moves can be taken out from the insert easily if you want to heat up the insert in the microwave. Beans inside the insert heat up quite fast. Instruction is in Chinese, but the product itself is pretty self explanatory.Remote works well to turn on/off the device and change the patting speed. But I don’t like that the device can only be controlled by the remote. If remote is lost, there’s no way to make it move anymore. There’s only a black on/off button on the device(in the red circle shown on one of the photos attached here) but that’s just for turning on the device to be at its standby mode. So to use this, first need to turn on the standby mode using this black button on the device, then use the remote to turn on/off or change the speed.And I found out that if I give it a full charge and only use it one time till it finishes its course and just leave it on its standby mode, it would completely run out of battery the next day when I try to use it again. But one full charge can run many times if I turn off the standby mode after each use. Which means it needs to be manually turned on and off by the black color switch at every use anyways even though it comes with a remote, in my opinion it might as well just be designed with two buttons directly on the device: one to really turn it on/off, and one to adjust speed. This way there’s no need to find the remote every time, and switch on and off two times on each thing.It does move and slide down during use quite easily, and this can only be used on top surface of the body, not side way. But the patting feels nice.

We use this on gentle mode to help soothe our little one when falling asleep for naps. I have not (and don't plan to) use it on the faster modes, but it's working well for how we use it and super soft.

I can see where the design was trying to go with this hand. My kiddos like to have some weight on their backs while being patted, but this just missed the mark. The hand is not weighted, and the ONE finger that thumps makes that weird mechanical sound. And let's talk about that one finger that does move. It's the middle finger. It looks very odd when the one finger that is up, when you stop the hand, is flipping you off! Like this product did.

This soothing hand is suppose to work by adding a little weight on your baby along with a long finger that taps their back, side or belly. It is rechargeable so it doesn’t require batteries and it’s operated by a remote. The directions are not in English at all but it’s easy to figure out how to use without them.I got this hand because my baby is fussy around bed time. My hope was that it would help her sleep or at least calm her down. Instead she just stared at me weirdly for putting it on her(I suppose she was calm) until I took it off. Haha So far it’s not working for her for sleep but I will try a few more times and update if there’s any change. Aside from that, I do have another complaint. I only used this hand for like 5 minutes and it was already dead when I tried to use it this morning. I don’t think it stays charged very long.
