I was able to get my bike set up to pull our Thule trailer. Originally we had just one mount and it was on my husband's bike. I wanted to ride while he was at work and his bike frame is too tall for me. So I got this and now we can hitch the Thule to either bike. It is great!

I was hoping this cup would be made of plastic to keep the weight down. Nope, it's metal and quite heavy. On the plus side it can probably stop a small bullet.

We thought we would save $10 by buying this instead of the OEM Thule one... we bought it just for the hitch adapter so that we can pull it with both our bikes without having to swap the hitch back and forth. I can't speak to the quality of the QR axle. Honestly I'm not sure why they even include that since most Mtn bikes are thru axle. Anyway, we quickly discovered that the hitch being painted makes it very squeaky. Maybe it wouldn't be too bad for rides down the sidewalk, but that's not the kind of riding we do - we used it to pull the Chariot up a 1200ft climb trail; over rocks, roots, etc. The squeaks were constant and so annoying. After getting back to the truck and disconnecting the trailer I noticed that the paint had started rubbing off. So maybe if it was used enough the paint would all wear off and eliminate the noise? However, then would it rust? The OEM Thule part has no paint, no squeaks, and just works. I'll take that anyday for $10.Needless to say, we returned this inferior product.

It would have been an easy install if it had fit my mountain bike axel. Unfortunately the axel was too small😕)
