These tubes are ok for what I need them for. Unfortunately, they are clearly just a long tube cut into small sections, as each end is not cut straight across and is jagged and nowhere near flush.

So I scoured Amazon to find these tubes, I needed a minimum of 12 inches of inside usable space to store my 12" x 12" vinyl sheets and 12" x 5' vinyl rolls... The seller says " Sizes listed are usable space. Actual tube lengths are longer. Measures 12-inches length by 4-inches width." SEVEN of the tubes (nearly half of what I ordered!!!) are noticeably shorter and when I measured them, the ones that are usable to me are at least 12 1/2", the shorter ones measure exactly 12" and shorter. The caps are 1/2" deep, so you see my dilemma with the shorter ones, right? Kind of useless for the intended purpose because even if I cap one end with cardboard & tape, it will still crush the ends of my vinyl :(Now, let's get to the ends of the tubes! Most of them have ends that are either chewed up or look like they were double-cut. I expected a little bit of a rough edge because it's cardboard, but some of them were so bad I had to clean them up with a razor blade so I could get the caps to fit.I'm usually pretty much over the moon with the items I purchase from Amazon, but this one was an absolute bust. If I were using these to build a cat tree with sisal coverings, they'd be ok as I could cut them all to uniform lengths myself (even though I shouldn't have to) and use them.If you need an exact inside size on tubes like this, I'd suggest looking elsewhere (i.e. another seller).UPDATE 10/19/2020:I contacted the seller with my issues with the product and provide photos of what I got. They messaged back an apology and indicated they will refund my purchase price in full. This was not my intention when I brought the product issues to their attention, but it is completely acceptable. I'll give them another chance when I need specialty shipping containers in the future.

Tubes were used in my DIY project - wine rack. Sturdy and serve my intended purpose.UPDATE 01/15/2021: As another reviewer mentioned, the tubes' quality has slipped from my original purchase. The inline material coloring is different from the exterior. Bent ends and slightly different lengths between tubes.

These are great! I use them to mail 11 x 17 art prints regularly. Not only are they more cost-effective than shipping a flat print, they protect the print from damage better as well. It's hard to find short tubes with a wide diameter; I would have been more comfortable with a 5'' diameter, truth be told, but I haven't heard of any customer complaints regarding warping or creasing of the prints when rolled up. Since most people mount and frame their prints anyway, a slight curve to the print when unrolled isn't an issue.

I guess these were about 20% of the cost that I could have paid at the post office or FedEx store, and the quality is great. Not much to say about a tube, but they're very sturdy, and the end-caps are a very tight fit.
