- SDT206 Car Smoke Leak Detector is a professional auto pipe leak detect tool. It will help us position cars motorcycles leakage on the pipe systems quickly and exactly, such as fuel pipe, air Intake system, exhaust system, and cooling tank.
- Why do you need the SDT206 Smoke Leak Detector? Unmeasured air entering an engine will cause all sorts of lean conditions. You cannot see the leaks without the help of smoke. A vacuum line can become porous over time but look fine. O-rings can harden and no longer seal. Plastic parts can separate or crack.
- Exhaust leaks can be harmful to your health and can cause backfiring in carbureted vehicles. You can use the AUTOOL SDT206 Smoke Machine to find exhaust leaks without running the engine and gassing yourself.
- In modern cars, many check engine codes are triggered by an air/vacuum leak. Quickly pinpointing the problem saves time and money at the workshop and helps the do-it-yourselfer find the problem instead of just changing parts.
SDT206 ADVANCED TECHNOLOGY
- Crankcase System Test: Excessive pressure or corrosion of the crankcase is the main reason to damage the seal of the crankcase and cause oil leakage.
- Intake System Test: Leakage in the air intake system will lead to insufficient intake of the car engine, which will result in scant engine power.
- Car Sealing Test: Poor airtightness of the car may lead to a lot of inconvenience like inability to keep warm dusty, not soundproof, and not waterproof , etc.
- Fuel Tank System Test: When there are gaps in the fuel tank and piping caused by improper installation or insufficient sealing of the fuel tank cap, it can cause leaks in the fuel tank system.
- Turbo Test: The leakage of coolant would cause the engine to report high water temperature.
- Various Pipe Fittings Test: Smoke testing of brake hoses, power steering hoses, cooling system hoses, air conditioning system hoses, turbocharger hoses, fuel hoses, intake and exhaust system hoses, etc.
- EVAP System Test: Leakage of the fuel evaporation system will cause fuel vapor to leak into the atmosphere, causing waste and pollution or unstable engine idling.
- Exhaust System Test: Unpurified harmful gases to be discharged into the atmosphere or increase vehicle noise is the main disadvantage when leaks happened in the exhaust.

Advanced Technology
- Fuel Pipe Leakage Tester works on the EVAP system. (Provided with another version that specially designed for EVAP system). Equipped with dual flow meters for accurate data display & Independently controlled Air mode and Smoke mode.
How to do leakage test?
- STEP 1: Fill 20ml test oil to the detector for the first time.
- STEP 2: Disconnect the pipe that needs to be connected with detector.
- STEP 3: Connect detector with DC12V battery, device starts to work.
- STEP 4: The pipe will be filled with smoke. Check the leak points.(In about 30 seconds, the pipe will be filled with smoke.)
- Caution：
- When you use this Car Smoke Leak Detector for the first time, fill with 10ml oil . Please be careful NOT to beyond this range.
- The testing liquid : both liquid paraffin and baby oil are OK.
- Fresh oil can be filled with only when the smoke gets thin, and it can’t be filled over 20ml each time.
- Before filling fresh oil, please pour out the left oil in the detector & replace the detector oil regularly.
- During the process of leak detection, please keep away from smoke-sensitive parts.
- Do NOT run the detector over 8 minutes continuously. It needs interval rest.
- The detector has an intelligent protector, if it exceeds the working limit, such as over 75 ℃, it will automatically turn off the power. In this case, please operate it later.The round part of this detector has temperature, please be careful to avoid burns.

I like the fact that it has its own compressor....good for mobile work...but it doesn't have a pressure regulator for evap systems. I bought a cheap 1psi lp gas regulator and put it on the outlet side and it works perfectly no worry over pressurizing the evap system,and if I wanna test exhaust or turbo systems I can just remove the regulator.

This smoke machine works good but the adapters are kind of cheap. I gave it 4 stars because it leaked out all over my work bench , then again the instructions tell you to drain out the oil after each use . I would buy it again it’s the best you are going to get for the money .

I've had this for 8 months. It works exactly as it should and is reliable. Support from the seller is great and the quality of the machine is excellent. I've used this on several cars to find vacuum and intake leaks. It comes with everything I've needed to use it. I also like being able to adjust the airflow depending on the application. You don't need a lot of baby oil to get the smoke rolling. I have no complaints.

I sent the company this e-mail over a week ago and no reply.( I just bought the SDT 206 and it has two gauges actually 3 (One is air pressure) One has Alarm above the gauge and my manual shows nothing about it. Why does it have LOW 50 75 Max on the site glass. Whats with the knob? The other sight glass I'm pretty sure controls the air pressure so does the other sight glass control the smoke? The red handle tool, is that to remove the purge valve? Sorry but there is no proper manual, the manual that came with this unit doesn't have the Alarm sight glass and what happens if Alarm goes off, what would cause it to go off?..... Thanks)I still have not heard from them but I have a new question, I would like to hook a fuse to this and am curious how many amps would be required.... Guess I'll come in here for the questions

The shipping was incredibly fast! It came from Hong Kong in just six days without even ordering expedited shipping. I haven't used it yet but it looks just as pictured and described. The only flaw i see so far is the ink they used to print the control labels on the machine isn't very good and the instruction booklet isn't very informative and doesn't use proper English grammar but I'm happy with it I was very skeptical when ordering but now I'm very satisfied and it comes with a lot of accessories. I would definitely purchase again!
