FIrst off, this gasket doesn't come with the studs, so if you try and do this with the OEM pan bolts, they won't fit. You need the studs and 13mm nuts. Second, the holes DO NOT line up! I did this job last year and used the Moroso gasket but used the wrong RTV and didn't clean up properly, and I had a few little drips after I would drive the truck. I decided to redo the job using the proper RTV and clean everything well, but I decided to save the money and use the cheaper gasket (I already had the studs and nuts). How different could the same-looking gasket be? I assumed Moroso just lost their patent or something along those lines. Boy, I couldn't be more wrong and this is a huge job, requiring lifting the motor, lifting the body, and lifting the trans! This is not your typical oil pan job, this is easily a 2 to 3 day job! I went through the whole process, now for a second time, and found that the gasket did not line up with the holes, not even close. I would get two studs through, and none of the other 10 studs would match up. I finally decided to remove the studs and thread them through like bolts to get them through the holes. After almost 2 hours of messing with the gasket, I finally got it on enough that I could put the pan on and thread enough of the nut onto the stud to pull the pan and the rest of the gasket up against the bottom of the motor. I gave everything 24 hours to dry (since there is RTV that needs to be used) and added oil and said a prayer. Unfortunately even God couldn't help me with this mess! Oil wasn't just dripping out, it was pouring out of the top of the pan. It looked like a pot of water boiling over! I was mortified to say the least. I went back in my house, got on amazon, ordered the moroso gasket, and did the job, AGAIN. The difference being, the gasket fit perfectly. Instead of 2 hours to get it half way fit, it took me 2 minutes to get it perfectly fit against the oil pan. Just DONT do it, please. It's not worth the $40 you'll save on this gasket, not for a job this huge!
