My 15 year old son’s hand was taking a beating under the catchers mitt. This has helped protect him a great deal. He is very happy with it.

Full disclosure: I'm a middle-aged man who plays first base in a coed softball beer league. So not exactly an athlete. Still, I take hard throws at first from my younger, strappier infielders, and sometimes they hurt my hand, even when I wore a batting glove underneath my mitt. But when I found this product, that all disappeared. Now it's like having two sticks of butter in your mitt to cushion the blow, and I no longer get the ouchies. Plus, it fits snugly in my mitt, not too bulky or too thin. I don't know if this is the absolute best fielder's glove out there, since it's the first one I tried, but I do know that it works for me.

Perfect for the extra padding you need. I play 1st base and this glove solves a lot problems with odd catches from time to time. A bonus is having the right fit which keeps my glove on my hand by providing additional “gap filling” where my mitt has broken in and become a little loose.

I used to buy this product in stores, but it is a little cheaper online. These can also be harder to find because they sell out in stores fast. You can buy in confidence because this product is the same as the ones in the stores. I like this particularly because it has extra thumb padding that is useful for me as a catcher. The thumb is injured a lot, especially mine, and this glove really helps.
