This innovative device doesn't tie the engine's lower unit to the trailer as some devices do, so it eliminates scuff marks and any possible excessive pressure on hydraulic seals. It features steel construction and a black powder-coated finish. The pins are stainless steel. This compact mount can be stored easily in nearly any boat compartment. This is a heavy duty bracket that fits my Mercury 250 Pro XS. Simple to use and easily stores in a compartment when not in use. It also centers the motor and holds it in position when trailering.

This thing is fabulous. Mine is specifically made for my 06 200 optimax. Completely eliminates transom rock. It is very high quality, regardless of some negative reviews. For the price it can't be beat.

Very good product. Holds motor stable and easy to use. No more crawling around trying to get the motor propped for towing and then rocking back and forth to unstick it from the motor. Spring loaded pins easily squeeze for ease of use.

I have a Merc Pro Xl 250 on a Ranger Z521 and the transom support brace broke in half on my way to the lake and I had to replace it. After shopping for a replacement I came across this Atwood transom brace and decided to give it a try. It works great. Only takes a few seconds to apply and fits in a storage compartment instead of dragging the old style to the back of my truck.

Terribly disappointed. This is rated for a Merc 200hp and after less than 1 month the product bent and I was unable to retratct the stainless pins. I was forced to straighten the bar, enabling me to retract the pins. Only then was I able to remove the product from my engine. Not a bad design but not nearly strong enough.

Easy to install, easy to stow, works well at holding motor up and steady when towing. Rubber insert in 2 holes do not hold up for long periods, but are replaceable. Have owned one before and bought this one for another motor. Happy with purchase.
