Only thing to note on this is NO PHONE NUMBER - DATA ONLY. And some apps like whatsapp require you to change with a phone number to get a confirmation code, so i made the switch ahead of time. But otherwise, data worked pretty well throughout Taiwan and Japan, despite going across several different networks.

I used this SIM card in Indonesia, Hongkong, Singapore and Japan. Works great. There are 2 links to activate be careful one for eSIM the other for traditional. For first time connections in Asia, you must have WiFi which not specify by the product. After that country hopping won’t be an issue.

I purchased the product to use for my trip to Japan and Korea. I mostly stayed in Tokyo and Seoul. The card was easy to activate and install. While in Tokyo, I mostly used Google Maps and Google from time to time. The SIM worked well there, even while in the subway. There were times when service was spotty. Looking for stores in Tokyo station was difficult since it wasn’t pinpointing correctly. It would show the dot in a different location. This also happened every once in a while when in the city. Not sure if this was due to the buildings. In Korea, I only used Navar. The connection wasn’t as strong as Japan. There were times that I needed to just wing it and head in one direction and hope the connection gets better. I would try to close the application and reopen in hopes that it would correct the issue. It would help sometimes. Overall, if I was to travel to Asia again and need a physical SIM, I would purchase again. I didn’t have to use customer service, but they did provide their contact info for WhatsApp in case of issues.

I rarely write review but I feel the need to. I thought it didn’t work on my phone but my phone wasn’t unlocked. I used my other unlocked phone, this works out perfectly anywhere I travel in Thai, Viet, and Singapore. The tech guy is there for you if you have any troubles. They carefully wanted to make sure it works. Highly recommended!! You will be happy to have it for your trip.

I bought two of these cards, one for me (Pixel 8) and one for my spouse (Samsung Fold 5). This card worked for him for the whole time we were in China and Japan. It also worked in Hong Kong and Korea where we had layovers. It just takes a few minutes to connect when you first use the card -- don't freak out if it doesn't connect immediately.For me, the sim card was too old to be used on my Pixel 8 (this is a common issue apparently -- look up something like "pixel sim card too old"). I contacted Mewfi via WhatsApp while I had my layover in Hong Kong and they were able to work with the carriers to get me two eSIMs instead for China and Japan, both of worked great.20 GBs between the two of us was plenty for browsing and Google maps. 5/5 would recommend to others
