First things first, the price of the bar tape is competitive. Secondly it feels nice and looks pretty good when installed.Now the bad, you better hope that you tape it correctly on your first try otherwise the backing tape completely rips off the “gecko” top layer. Really disappointing, as I try to have my bar tape laid pretty evenly and typically have to re-wrap as I go to get the look I’m going for. With this tape it’s really tough. Shame.

It's been years since i've used this tape and tried it again recently for my latest build. It goes on well, doesn't stretch too much, but isn't too thick to make taping around the hoods too complicated and cumbersome. It just seems to go on well. It's great tape, and has been for many years. If you want to avoid spending up to 50 dollars on other tape, try this tape.

The tape is 3mm thick but made from foam without gel. The handlebar becomes sponge. Protection layer not stretchy but peels off very easily. Adhesive layer is pure nightmare. It sticks deadly to everything and makes undo or rewrap nearly impossible. "Grip" is joke. Upper layer is very slippery despite of texture. Toss to recycle bin.

I bought the black Gecko Bar Tape and did my first wrap. It went on well and I really noticed the grip on first ride. The cushion on the ride was noticeable too.

Good. Better than expected. Can be washed so that colored or white tape would not show dirt. Easy to do a good job at instalation

Just received and installed this tape. Two things so far:1. Unlike other reviewers, I had plenty of tape for 44 cm bars. I wrapped leaving about 6 cm from the stem on each side and still trimmed 2 to 3 inches of tape from the ends.2. I really like the feel. Grip and fairly soft. I anticipate that I will enjoy this especially since I am one of the world's sweatiest people and live in the south.Nothing to say of durability yet, will update down the road. Comes with pieces for under the levers and 2 end tape strips. If it holds up, I'll keep it as my standard.
