I collect show prints from bands and with having over 40+ prints of different variants, this book definitely lets me keep my prints flat and safe. the case is hard plastic but not super strong so you want to make sure to keep it flat (I keep mine under my bed). but honestly for 40 bucks its worth it. definitely a safe option to store prints during moving, or just waiting on money for a frame..

I ordered this particular binder to hold several dozen pages I acquired of Sunday color comics from the era of World War I, when newsprint was infamously made in a way that turns it terribly brittle as it ages. When my binder arrived, I had a friend work with me to carefully separate the fragile pages and slip them into the pockets of these pages. When finished, I can now "turn" these pages to enjoy them and to show them to friends. I'm a lifelong journalist with a particular interest in promoting awareness of the history of American newspaper comics, so this is a real gem for me.Two tips: In the past, I have ordered products via the Gaylord Archival Store within Amazon. If you're looking at this product, you might want to look at those options as well before making a final decision. Gaylord is excellent in producing acid-free, truly archival materials. However, I could not find a Gaylor binder in the dimensions I needed for these 1916 pages from the Chicago Tribune. That's why I switched to this other company and I'm happy I did. The pages fit perfectly in this binder.And then: When this folder arrives, depending on what you want to save in these pages, you may want to think about other archival materials. In particular, I have white gloves from other archival work I've done. My friend and I both wore archival gloves as we moved the newspaper sheets into these pages. There are archival kits that come with pairs of gloves. Lint-free gloves also are available elsewhere on Amazon. But think about how you're going to handle your special materials that you want to put into this binder. Maybe you'll want to have some gloves hand yourself.Finally: I would not want to store this binder on its side. The pages tend to sag and could wrinkle. I've stored this binder flat on a shelf with other large-format books and binders. You also might want to think about where you will put this large folder once you have it.

This binder works very well for larger items that won't fit in the standard 3-ring binders. There are also plenty of pages, far more than would normally be in a binder like this. There are however 2 issues that could be improved.1 - There are so many pages, that unless each page has 1 or 2 pieces of paper only, it is very easy to overfill. It is perfect to hold magazines, but it will overfill easily. It would be much better if they offered a version with a wider binder (~3") to accommodate thicker items.2 - The cover is really too flimsy to prevent falling over or bending. It would be nice to have a sturdy cover like a heavy duty binder. As an alternative, I put in a sturdy board in the front and back pages. This basically solved the issue, but again, the binder runs out of width quickly, so adding the board doesn't help this problem.Other than that, this is a very nice alternative to standard 3 ring binders, and the plastic pages seem pretty secure, not in danger of easily ripping out.
