I recently had to remove and reseal the cam girdle due to the awesome poly-drive bolt stripping during a cam chain tensioner change. I opted to use these bolts in lieu of the OEM TTY bolts due to the overall increase in strength. Of course, economically speaking, the ability to reuse hardware is a plus and it makes sourcing parts needed much simpler by removing hardware from the equation.If you’re rebuilding your head or just replacing the cam girdle, I would highly, HIGHLY recommend spending the little bit extra on ARP hardware.

I much prefer ARP studs and bolts over VW/Audi stretch-to-yield bolts that have to be discarded after one use
