This shoulder sling with the waist strap is definitely comfortable when my shoulder flares up… it keeps the arm close to the body to protect an injured rotator cuff.

It worked well while up and around during the day and was relatively comfortable. It immobilized my arm and shoulder which kept from further injury and pain which is what it was purchased for. Not good for sleep. It's light weight. Was only worn for 3-4 weeks intermittently so washing wasn't required and cannot comment on durability.

My right arm has been in and out of a sling for almost 1.5 years for various wrist issues requiring immobilization. I've used 6 different slings. This one is by far the most comfortable. The material is light, water resistance, and stays clean and cat-fur free. Really so comfie it’s one less thing to worry about. Plus the sling part is made well. ***IMPORTANT*** the reviewers who mention the uncomfortable straps are spot on. If you get this sling, suggest you buy your own straps and strap padding. I have red marks on my neck from the poorly designed and padded straps. However, even with these incredibly cheap straps, the sling is worth buying your own padding and/or straps. 5’2” 125 lbs size medium fit perfectly.

I never got past the fitting part because this thing is so bulky and trying to get just the right fit so that it's positioned correctly and comfortably was impossible. It's well made, of good, solid material, but that being said, in this case, it's a bad thing. The thick, heavy material makes it bulky and cumbersome, always getting in the way, whereas the thin, cheap blue ones with the white strap found in local drugstores are so lightweight and if it weren't for your arm across your chest, you'd forget it was there. This one here, there's no chance you'd ever forget it's there, it's just way too heavy and bulky. If you don't mind limited mobility, working up a sweat cuz the thick material will cause you to sweat, and it always getting in your way, then it's for you. But, seeing that I prefer one that is light, not cumbersome, doesn't get in my way, limit my mobility nor cause me to sweat, this definitely wasn't for me.
